I use Millers CVL [ competition valve lubricant ] all the time as it adds 3 octane points as well as being a valve lubricant designed to prevent valve wear/seat recession under extreme conditions.
I totally recommend it as my Evo runs sweet, no tappet noise even on start up from cold the only concern is you have to remove your cat as this will contaminate it, although it is designed for use with unleaded fuel.
Try ARE Ltd @ Farnham 01252 733202 as i buy it cheaper from them.

what price can you get it from Farnham ?

If you buy over £100 , at woodautomotive and avoid the postage bill
it works out at £2.53 for a 250ml bottle.

I've just been down to my local motor factor who has offered me Wynn's Octan 10|PLS| (the stuff that claims to add 4-5 to the RON rating) for £2.70 a bottle if I buy in dozens!

Be carefull using CVL with Lambda sensors, could cause problems.

Try adding 20% Toluene , dosn`t effect the cat plus gives far higher octane then any after market booster and amp; yes i do use it for track days !

Where could you get the Toluene?
I have tried oct boost .avgas.
I'll try most things if it helps the rating and isn't over the top price wise.

Shorty - Hays Chemicals, various depots around the UK ,Poole, Greenwich, Luton etc.
You will need a van |PLS| hard hat and amp; safety goggles to be allowed on site to collect it , minimum order is 25 ltrs @ £45 inc of vat per 25ltr drum.
Have noticed the engine runs/revs smoother and stronger @ the top end .

I was just wondering if you have taken the cat of your E6? Also do you notice a difference using the Octane booster? How do you use it, do you mix it with normal unleaded for an octane rating of 97 - 98 or with Super for a rating or around 100???

Yes I have removed the cat, for road use I use 1 x CVL to every 20lts of SUL |EQU| 100 oct.
