We are ready with at least 4 teams which include the winners from the last two years
I would like a pop at this ;)

Don't take this the wrong way, but the problem has been in the past that people have said they would enter, but when it came to the money it was a little quiet.
Difficult for Darin to arrange something without knowing people will pay and difficult for people to pay not knowing a date or venue etc.

Theres only one way to go....down!

depending on whats required im sure i could cobble up a team if any more info was forecoming .
I'd love to do this, but can't ever commit without firm dates because of work etc.
Would any of the North West lot be up for it?

whats wrong with the rest of the nation?

Logistics KB.
For example you wouldn't catch me going to Rochester to help prep a car I had a share in.
In fact, I wouldn't even go to Rochester full stop.

But will they be as good as us southerners, IIRC we are the only Evo owners to have won it :smthumbup

shurrr up it's alot nicer than the cosmopolitan town of Morecambe!

Us Northerners would teach you a lesson.
Get you to drink alcohol the night before with a minimum 4% ABV would be a start. Wouldn't know what's hit you all ;)

At least Morecambe is an honest town with lots of Eastern European culture

Here's a question, I always end up going off road when I'm sprinting.
Will I manage to find tarmac doing this

What were the regs? Can't use an Evo or a 4x4 or anything?
Jack up a Spacestar!
You're old enough to tow a trailer aren't you?

The rules say that you would have to be prepared to sell it to someone for £500 to avoid people spending loads.
No 4 x 4 and not sure about evo's, but you you wouldn't sell one for £500 would you.
Yes I am old enough to tow:D
And after a few nightmares, I can now do it quite well :mhihi:
Small colt is the way forward mate.
Stripped they are mega light and seem to be reliable, which is key.

You will find tarmac on the 1st corner but only after 3 hours, somebody has buried it under the mud.

You can get one of those 260 things for about £500 can't you?

We have one car ready that won it three years ago and survived the last race aswell. And we have a team eager to prep another all we need is the nod that this is happening in 2012. :smthumbup
if this is on I'd better get a team entry sorted
how many more teams are needed for it to be 100% on for 2012 ?
:)
My Colt won't be eligible now ;)
However we will be there with a car

I'd enter a team if the event gets the go ahead.
But, it's been the same every year. Lots of initial interest then when it comes to coughing up, the numbers dwindle.

Our Money is waiting ;)
My money is already in so that's one entry! :smthumbup
I on behalf of the MSOC are willing to help with the organising of this years Mlr500. So If that means we can get more competitors togethet from Scoobynet or other Jap marque forums, advertising and promoting on Scoobynet , Total impreza etc. If Blyton is not possible this year we could maybe look at other venues or try and get more enteries from other forums and importantly deposits from people ? Please let me know If any of the above may help or If there are any other options that the MSOC could persue. Many thanks, Ricky.

This was such a giggle, both preparing the car and the event itself, I really hope it can be run again. :smthumbup

A quick one for people with past experience, how much does it cost roughly per person?
I could be interested in joining in if the costs aren't too astronomical (and its on a weekend with nothing on).
id defo be interested if a trader would like to help :)

That doesn't seem bad at all, lets hope enough people would be up for it to make it a possibility again at some point :smthumbup

I think so, would Kosta and Corky want us in their North West team?, or are we just that little bit too southern for them
I'm sure we can all get something together if it happens :smthumbup

Can mechell or Darin confirm if this will be taking place this year?

Let's hope so. The sooner better, plans for the year are already firming up, so if it's going to happen for us it will need to announced fairly soon. :smthumbup
Does anyone know if this is happening this year?
