Evening all,

Do you think the 16,500 is a reasonable price for an MR FQ340? I also notice Xtreme are asking for 17,000 for some of their Evo 8 MR's!?

Cheers

I wouldn't worry, it's sold anyway.

Worth every penny, especially in that colour ;)

Cheers, the reason i ask is that the car has been re-listed twice by the garage first time it was on the market for 15,999 and second time 14,999, now 16,500.

I phoned the guy today and he said he has had two time wasters and he's re-listed at that price because other garages are selling similar models for more!

Condition and history are paramount and if it's exactly what you're looking for, along with a dealer warranty, it could be worth a little bit more.

However, I think it's probably asking too much at over 16k and you could definitely pick one up for cheaper if you're not fussy/or loaded! :)

Extreme have an excellent reputation as an Evo seller. J performance are typical midlands dealers

Pretty sure there was some "controversy" over the quality of the cars this garage sold, someone on here saying that a red one they were selling had poor respray work. was a while back though! I am pretty sure it was this place, the pictures with the trees in the background ring a bell.

Xtreme always seem overpriced in saying that all their cars look top quality.

Xtreme's cars 99.9% top quality an they know Evo's inside out !

Where as the 2 guys who own JPerformance are just your run of the mill buyer an seller after a quick profit but dont actually know a thing about the cars an even more so with high powered cars they buy , their adverts are just copy an paste from the originals which 9 times out of 10 have already been advertised on Piston Heads anyway ...

its worth what someone is willing to pay.

harder to find mint MR's, I looked at loads before buying mine.

But I only value mine @15500 as it is

I've seen this car and its not worth that! I almost bought it but wasn't overly keen on the red.

In my opinion its worth every penny of 14,500.
It has the usual stone chips, one bad one on the bonnet. A scuff on the drivers side rear bumper that has been touched up. Could do with 2 new tyres in the near future.

If you go to see this car pop into extreme, not too far apart, and see the quality difference, plus the service you get, then you will know why they carge more!

They aren't 'real' dealers, they work out of their house garage, so don't think they are like extreme or any others.

BTW I have just bought a MR340 in grey with 18,000 miles for 15,000, in better condition that the Red VIII

Thanks for the info. Did you buy privately or through a garage?

I got one through SVA imports, just waited for the right one to come up.

The red one at JPerformance is a nice car and drives straight. If your local go see it. But I wouldn't pay him that much seeing as when i went he would have taken 15K for it!

It wasn't this one was it http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1370461.htm

Thats the one i bought, picking it up Saturday.

They were a pleasure to deal with, had 3 MLR member cars in for servicing whilst i was there, another grey MR, a Tommi and a VI.

Ray was helpful and friendly. You can search almost all the dealers on here and find negative comments, so i just took the car on its merits.

For that money i'd be looking at a couple of Xtreme cars. Low mileage examples and they'll be mint!
