Have you checked it out mechanically - for crankwalk etc?

I Loved my IV :)

The car is for my younger brother. Hopefully I can make the viewing which is tomorrow.

Between the guys going we know generally what were looking for but what are the obvious signs when looking for crankwalk?

My 1st Evo was a 4 as well & I loved it. :D

there should be almost no perceptible play when tugging on the crank pulley, have someone exert pressure on it[pushing pulley inwards, whilst someone pressing clutch in/out].its hard to measure exactly tbh, without setting up gauge.
another sign is missing/stalling when pressing clutch, and a strange feeling clutch pedal.
crankwalk is a bit hit and miss, some do,some dont-i had a few fours, knackered the pistons in two of them, but never any walk
