Hi everyone

Please only write on this thread if you are team leader for a group of people up for MLR500 2010.

At the moment this is unofficial and not MLR sanctioned. No confirmed date, no confirmed entry costs and no confirmed rules at this point in time.

If you have £250 available to pay to the MLR as soon as required (entry cost TBA so at worst case this will be a non-refundable deposit) (edit ... looking to be £300 per team since £250 per team in 2009 was a loss leader)

please can a mod delete posts on this thread which aren't for provisional team signups .... if you're looking for a 2010 team to join or for members for your team, please make a new thread and try and keep this one clean

if you're in MLR admin, then we have well over half the teams needed for the next MLR500 and including the maybe #2 teams then we're on for 3/4's the numbers ... and everyone who has signed up provisionally has £250 per team they can pay up right now (non-refundable if the team drops out)

fingers crossed we can have another event in 2010 since everyone seems to love this

As we all know people will always wait to the last minute if it there is no advantage

No deposits, just upfront payment of the whole lot, and if you can't make it you either find someone to take your place or you lose your money, at least sorting it early will give teams ages to prepare..with the fact they know the event will definately go ahead.. There is still a lot of carry over enthusiasm from a great weekend.
But there was clearly difficulties getting the numbers previously, hence no 2008 and indeed inviting the Subaru clubs this time to bolster the numbers.

The whole profile of the event has certainly been raised within the subaru community, and we will with out doubt have as many teams entered again next year (assuming we are invited back having nicked your trophy:D), indeed possibly more.

Obviously it takes a lot of commitment and expense on both the organisers and the competitors, so to incentivise teams to sign up early would be a good idea.

We have washed our car and we're ready for next year.

Raj, it may be messy but it has kept it at the top and kept peoples interest, the only way it will go any further is with a decision from the MLR to put anything in the shop, whilst the momentum is still there :smthumbup

I went to MLR500 2009 with the FTO.

I am not a member of MLR, but would like to attend the 2010 event, and am prepared to commit, but i appreciate that it is a club event and that i need to ask very nicely if i can come and have fun again this year

Think the bit you're looking for is this :smthumbup
•Teams must have a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 5 people
•A minimum of 2 people in each team must be MLR members at the time of registration and the event

If the regs stay the same as 2009 then there is a loop hole (as far as I can see) whereby you and two mates (non members) enter the event and drive the whole race between your selves. But you offer two free, non driving places to members, i.e if you can get them on the team list there is no stipulation as to how long they have to drive for (if they drive at all!) :smthumbup

But the 2010 regs are not out yet :shake::D:D
