Hi All

Since the other MLR 500 threads have gone a bit off topic I thought I'd make a thread where people just put team details

Mods feel free to delete this thread if there is a tidy thread for this info already existing.

Can the mod for this section also delete any off topic replies in this thread.

The original MLR500 took place at Blyton (Lincs) and having spoken to the venue they are happy for us to return, but they need to confirm their 2009 calendar before they talk to me about dates - but we would be looking at holding the event during the Summer. It also depends on what the MLR 2009 calendar looks like as well, and I'm working on that at the moment too (which isn't a 5 minute job unfortunately :cry:)

Just to complicate matters there may be another (better) venue option in Gloucester, but I'm waiting to hear at the mo. As soon as I know all the details they'll be posted. :)

I would love to get involved in the 09' mlr500, I've read great things about it. So if someone needs a team mate, I am pretty good with a wrench, I am no Mario Andreti but I drive all right. :naughty:

Also I have access to a full garage with lifts and numatic tools for preperations and modifications. I am in East Anglia, Mildenhall by Bury.

Ok :D Put it this way, I'm not going to put all the money down like we did before and lose it :(... (it has been canceled once before through lack of bookings, but that was before your time.. )

This is very close to being sorted - we have got to wait until a couple of people confirm their calendars - as we always have to... but if there is not enough interest, I can't afford to book it on the off chance... is that ok???

sorry - although we have spoken to people, and if they can, they will get us in :D - they have given us no idea of costs involved yet. There is a lot more than just the circuit hire for this - :D I will let you know as soon as I can, as we know this is not a 'last min event' :D

Sadly, it happens for most of the events. Loads of interest and talk of doing it, that doesn't cost anything. When it comes to paying thats a different story.

I know some may well be busy on the proposed date but to have so many unpaid teams :confused:

THIS WAS THE BEST EVENT I HAVE EVER ATTENDED THROUGH THE MLR AND I WASNT DRIVING. IT WAS WORTH IT FOR THE FOOD AND THE BAND ;)

With all the chat about another MLR500 we were hoping for a great response, so where are you all??!?! :(

We need 20 bookings by the end of the month so we know whether the event can go ahead, but with 10 days to go before the deadline we only have 5 bookings from Sider, Neverneverman, The Admiral, CATDT and Lengthmeister - well done guys :smthumbup

Now if the other 15 teams can book by the end of the month, "MLR500 - The Rematch" will be on!
