ok i feel like ive gone insane this year, and im really not sure but Up for sale is my Evo 8 MR RS

Its now the car it should have been when i bought it and more, as people know, i paid close to 30k for it, and have now spent close to 15k on it in the last 6 months. The car comes with 1 years engine warranty from norris designs, please call simon on 01225 700748 to discuss or any questions The engine has just been rebuilt to a new spec on the dyno and has only covered 400 miles, it can be easily made up to 600-700 hp by changing the turbo kit and remap, everything else is in place. However as it is, its a seriously usable package, its the biggest power car ive driven that actually seems drivable round town, it behaves really well, the brand new clutch feels light, although there is a short biting point. The torque under boost with the 2.3 feels really good, its much different to the 2.2, more drivable and its got .5 bar in 3rd gear by 3500rpm so is already well starting to shift. It can also do 26+mpg on a run if you stay off the gas

engine spec

The car made 519hp/460ftlb on superflow engine dyno and 620hp on

race fuel

Most of you know the history of this car, its now had everything i can possibly do to it done, i keep my cars no expense spared, the
manifold had a little crack, i bought a new one, brakes wobbled a
bit, i replaced the discs, gearbox felt funny, i rebuilt it, ive
spent fortunes really making it the perfect time attack, track/fast

rd combo.

basic stuff

toad alarm, seems to set itself off i need that sorting
trackstar with speedsafe
white rs, no air con or elec windows
3 pre owners
14k miles

new engine has done 400 miles at time of writing this it has some basic graphics on car as per pic lots of receipts and stuff i can sell as is or remove anything of value to take a bit of the price accordingly but i think with the 1 year warranty from simon its a great buy any questions give me a call, no timewasters, test pilots, canvassers or just plain dreamers, im not really interested if u need to sell your car, just someone with the cash.

32k ono

to build this car to same spec would cost you a damn site more there is alot more to building a car like this than people think

btw currently has private plate on EV0 3 FLY

i can remove it

J, i know this has cost you a lot of dough over the past few months but now its sorted id keep it for a while if i were you. Then again ive had similar things myself with previous cars and its best to move on and start something fresh.
Either way, up for a well sorted car. :D

i know that, and you will still always get the clowns and messers claiming its only worth £xxx whatever lol but just cant afford to keep 2 evos now, so it has to go, bargain for anyone wanting to build a big power evo, its all ready for a nice turbo kit and 700hp for anyone who wants a winning time attack or hill climb/sprint car for next week, with nothing mechanical really to worry about due to the excellent ND engine warranty, and everything being pretty much brand new

if anyone is genuinely interested or concerned about anything, as i realise people have posted alot of ****e in the past, ill take the car to oulton park and run it there:) just you can see its in fine working order:)

I just want to clarify that as per Jason’s post, the car is still under warranty from ND. As far as we are aware there are NO problems with the car mechanically, its newly built by us recently.

The speculation offered by some third parties is exactly that, we would not offer this transferable warranty if we felt issues were likely to develop with this car.

The damage to the turbo was in our opinion caused by the initial engine bearing problem but did not show itself until some miles had been covered on the new build.

For any further information regarding this vehicle feel free to contact me via PM, phone or email.

Thanks

Simon :)

well i have just took this car out for a spin after a month of not driving it, and driving a standard well 400hp gt the difference is amazing, this car on LOW boost you cannot hold still, its spinning wheels in all gear, quite fun lol, but the madest thing is there is no lag, its pretty much equal to my 9gt with this setup, gave me a big grin and made me think i wanna keep it lol, if no one buys it, will be at oulton in it on sat:)

I think that would be the best thing to do Jason, take it to Oulton, show people what it can do. I always think the best way of selling is to take it to a trackday/show etc, then it`s there to be viewed in the flesh......... :D :D

jason4656
22-11-2006, 12:55
someone coming in half an hr, half of me hopes they buy it the other half of me hopes they dont! so i can take it on sat:) lol the noise it makes is part of the big grin factor, i tjhink just how fast it revs and the sound, if it doesnt sell it will be there with me on sat:) just hope its dry as its like being on an ice rink in the wet on semi slicks

It was me - collecting next week hopefully.

Once Jase took me out for a spin in it was a case of Waynes world syndrome

"....she will be mine, oh yes she will be mine....."

It seems the perfect car for me, lots of grunt but not too much as this will be used on a day to day basis.

Will let you guys know what I think after I first drive it

:-)

Good luck with your new pride and joy m8. ;)

I bet jason is regreting the sale now, but sometimes you have to do what is necessary, maybe he'll be modding his GT now.

Well done you have a serious bit of machinery there which was built by one the best. :coolsm:

For the boot carpet check with Saj @ japperformanceparts, as I'm pretty sure he should have one.

Well it absolutely p155ed it down all the way home pretty much, so not the best way to feel your feet in a new car :-/ needless to say although the motorway was ok, when I got it on the A roads low boost was selected and some careful throttle work. Toe and heel essential in this with very sharp clutch - but well worth the results it gives.

Cant really say much more just yet but first impressions are excellent. Worth every penny Jase, bhp/fun per £ are up there with the Megabucks stuff I have driven without a doubt

Not sure about the roll cage and stickers (or the flames flying out of the exhaust) getting a bit too much of the wrong attention everyone and there dog were either looking or pulling along side trying to initiate a race - I didnt humour them.

More to come with some photos next week.

Certainly helps the blow of have a car stolen and all the b0ll0x that goes with it.

:D :D :D :D :D :D
