Up for sale is my Lancer GSR, (1800cc 16v turbo) based on the early Evo 3 models it shares a lot of the looks, performance, and handling. However is cheaper to TAX, INSURE, and cheaper on petrol!

The modifications are quite long but all are tackfull and have been carried out by local specialists and have NOT been bodged!

as you can see from the pictures it is very clean and tidy with no rust anywhere, the engine, gear box, drive chain etc all work as they should, the car is running 1bar and could with an uprated full pump run more boost thanks to a HKS head gasket, HKS fount mount intercooler and Greedy Profec boost controller (other engine mods include, HKS SSVQ dump valve, HKS Filter). The interior has been retrimmed in blue and black leather, there is a DVD player and vibe 6x9's that will come with the car.

Im only selling because i need to clear my depts! I have spent a great deal on this car to get it where it is now! it needs nothing! ready to drive away and play!

Any questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking!

How fast are these compared to the Evo's?

EvoRichie c
26-09-2006, 13:42
Hard to say really mate, 0-60 times arent much different, the evo's have more top end grunt they do 165mph where a standard GSR will do 150mph.

Suspention and brakes all the same (so i have been told) exept mine being an early model does not have AYC (but most people disconnect this anyway for better driving experiance).

My Lancer is around 250-260BHP and a standard Evo 1,2,3 are 265. so i would now say that mine is now the same power as any other
Evo 1,2 or 3, it MAY even beat other newer models because the weight of my GSR is now 1250kg so alot lighter than most.............

But forget about the figures for a minute mate, this car will happily play with most performance cars and thanks to a great "all round package" will normaly come out on top!!!

ask on the forum if you want more info about Lancer GSR's

just remember though that they are cheaper to insure, tax and run! thats why i purchased the car rather than a 2L Evo.

What's the millage on it mate? Has the cambelt been changed? Has/ when was the clutch last changed?

I'm interested but would have to sell my car first unfortunatly. Unless you'd be interested in a straight swap for an Evo II? It's up for sale on here also.

I would love to say yes to the swop mate, but im only selling my baby because i need the funds to clear my debt.

the milage is 87,000 , the cam belt was changed around 18months ago when the Head gasket was uprated for the HKS one.Clutch is fine and i have never dropped the clutch to do a racing start as this is a very quick way to burn them out especially with a four wheel drive!

fantastic car mate. hope the sale goes well :coolsm:

Ok cheers mate, I know what you mean about dropping the clutch - my standard one didn't last too long :)

I'll be sure to get back to you if my car sells.

Ok mate, look forward to hearing from you. here is another pic that my mate took whilst following me in his car.

I really hope that this car is sold to an MLR member so i can still see it and know its looked after.

Also forgot to mention that it comes with a removable toe bar which i had made to fit the car, you cant see it in the pics because its removable.......also has electrics wired in so trailer boards can be used.

Is this sold yet? If not, I have someone with a very genuine interest!!

Can anyone tell me whether the GSR's were imports or not? And what insurance group they are please?

EvoRichie c
12-04-2007, 15:50
Hi, as the previous owner of this car i can tell you that it is an import and i believe the insurance group is 16 or 17 with it being a 1800 turbo it is much cheaper to run, tax and insure but still just as much fun!

pretty gutted i let her go and wish i could afford to buy her back, the best car ive had so far (and im on road car number 19 now.....)

hope this helps,

12-04-2007, 15:59
Cool, thanks mate. I have a friend who's after a group 17 or so car, and it's a toss up between a GSR and a Scoob Turbo 2000, he's got money waiting and if Rudi still has it, I should imagine he'd bite his arm off for 3k!!

Thanks for the info mate, and I bet you're gutted at letting her go, she looks a minter!

12-04-2007, 16:23
