just had me 260 serviced at western mitsubishi, when i got there i asked how much it was for the 4500 mile service the guy looked up the price & quoted me 215 squid for the small service & it's 276 for the big service, but when i had the big 1 done in january it was only 186 pounds which i thought was quite then during the service the sales guy came up & asked about an ecu behind the glove box as the bloke who was servicing the car thought it was some kind of aftermarket ecu but did not know what it was for & he was needing 2 change a filter behind the ecu.he then asked if i wanted 2 change the filter or just leave it,i said no just change it he said ok but i'll have 2 take the ecu out & drill holes in the filter & refit the ecu on 2 it.they looked a wee bit & so was i cause iv'e never had an aftermarket ecu fitted although iv'e had a few mods done so what ever the ecu is for it must have been there when i bought the car off them.very strange.does anyone know what the ecu is for that thay r on about
Its the main ECU for the car....I would have thought they would have known that...If you take th eglove box out you can see it bolted in place..There should not be any need to drill holes etc... Its mounted on its own bracket...When fitting an aftermarket ECU this is the one that you change...
