To be fair the police have been awesome so far ! and my normal opinion of them is pretty low
They put the chopper up straight away and pulled in traffic cars from several areas
Just done the statements etc with them
They have had a sighting but couldn't keep up with it !
Glad they found the keys easy - another high performance car was taken last night just up the road - police reckon it's prob the same gang - they held the owner at gun point until he gave them the keys !
I am so sorry to hear this TCB, its times like this that I wonder if I should have bought a different car that lower the risk of my family or myself being harmed because of the sort of scum that crave after it.
It does make you wonder - I'm single and have no children - if I did stuff like this would really make me look hard at what I park on the drive - that's wrong though.......... this scum shouldn't stop you from owning stuff you work hard for.
I have a baseball bat tucked under my bed but what use would that have been against a gun ?
Can't go into the detail on here but from what the police told me about the other incident last night they put the guy and his family through a VERY horible experience
Sorry to hear this . I hope you get it back intact ASAP

I guess if you look at it like that you're pretty lucky then.
Incidents like these really make you think twice about owning a Evo.
I park mine in my parents garage and the keys are 2 miles away at my place, I may as well leave the keys in the ignition to save any unwanted grief
Glad to hear you are all ok but like above car jacking and theft on the forum just makes you more aware than normal. I also park mine away from my house. But will that really stop them !!!!
Tracker has come up trumps ! - maybe they are worth the money after all
Car found in a lockup garage about 10 miles away at 2pm loaded on the back of a transporter covered up ready to move on somewhere.
Not caught the ofenders however
As far as I know no damage but i've not seen it yet !
Now I have a problem - the keys (they took both sets) have not been recovered - therefore i can't recover my own car due to alarm imobiliser and getting in !
Any ideas please !
Anyway at least shes back
I will be sleeping with my good friend Mr .357 Magnum tonight just incase the come back for anything else they saw that they fancied - god help them if the do !!!!
Surprised the police didnt ask you to let them keep an eye out on the container to see where it was going/who was involved. Sorry, cant help about the lack of keys but nice one anyway!
You could get a key cut to key number then disable your alarm siren etc.
Then put a new lockset in it.
Did you phone tracker? how did they find it?
Got tracker myself but havent had to use it (thank god)
The police should wait near the garage to see if b@stards come back (or wait yourself with a gang of fella's.)
If you leave a 30k motor on your drive then i would invest in a decent nightvision camera, hooked up to your video.Just press record when you go to bed.
Great News on finding it! I had a similar experience a few years ago. (EVO 5). My wife dropped me at a pub to meet a mate then drove home. She was followed into our drive and pinned up against the wall to get the car keys. The car was found totally burnt out 20 miles away!
It took her 2 years to get over it. She must love me as she allowed me to buy another one a couple of years later. (FQ300).
Just be very careful guys and watch whos behind you when you get home!
good news about getting the car back, amazing how tracker got it back eh....
could you just let me know sometime if it was tracker monitor/GPS version etc as im about to invest in a new tracker myself.
just hope they catch the B'stards now...
