Got my Evo today (56k beware)
well what a long day its been!
first of all it was 2am before i finished work and once i did get myself to bed i couldnt stop thinking about the car.
By 4am i had happily nodded off to Evo land only to be awoken by my alarm at 6:30am!
chucked on my best tracksuit and legged it to the train station to take my first train to Coventry. Not to bad as its only 20 mins from my town. Finally jumped on a "Virgin" train down to southampton, but i was too frightened to sleep on the train incase i missed my station.....
it was nice to know the owner of the garage i bought the Evo from was going to pick me up from the train station too! such a nice chap and very honest about what was good and bad about the Evo i bought.
anyway i jumped in the car at the station and got back to the garage to sort out the paperwork and what not before the keys were finally mine. After about an hour trying to sort out a radio to fill the gap in the dash the garage owner wrote me a cheque to go and buy a new one. I t wasnt alot but enough to buy an MP3 player, which is better than the factory stereo he was trying to sort out.
And as you all probably know the 150 mile trip home was all full of "what the **** was that knocking noise!" and "why are all of the reps trying to race me!"
finally got home about 2.5 hours later after stopping at every available service station for a crafty *** and did the usual take the friends and family out in it. Everyone seems to like it and of course everyone wants a go :hammerhea
My first mod was to get rid of the stupid motorbike style numberplate on the front and get a normal one on there. I must admit they look good on the Evo VI onwards but not the 4. :blah:
im knackered now but i think i might fit another blast in before i call it a night.
