I have been watching the VI prices and I would say they are defo holding and creeping back up a bit, just the crap zero history imports or damaged repaired VI's that go for under £10K
Sure, but take all claims that cant be proven with a pinch of salt - we see tommis being driven about on the roads but everyone for sale is apparently just a weekend toy or been garaged for months... they cant all be telling the truth
And in response to tommos comment i think that the 5 looks better than the 6... i think its the big brutal foggies that the 6 had shrunken versions of that seems to play down the front end a bit.
I'm going to get hell for that statement - i can tell
i only use mine between march and october and do prob 4k miles per year, winter is modding time .i only really like 5/6s not bothered at all about 7/9 . :coolsm:

the prices are firm but only for the right cars, i have just bought my first evo from micktwalsh on here, pick her up at the weekend hopefully mr cheque clearer man!!
Anyone else know this motor?
A mint 6 is always better than a raggy 7 or even 8??
did anyone see fifth gear with the VI and the IX?
I sold my first 6 about 18 months ago for £11500, and tbh I think the car would still fetch that now.
The prices of the six's looked like they dropped a little, however I think there holding pretty solid at the moment.
There will always be cheap cars of any make and model out there for 1 reason or another (crash damaged, needing attension, owner needs cash fast etc etc) but on the whole a genuine car will hold it's value, just takes a little longer to sell, as you have to wait for the buyers to travel the country looking at these cheap ones before they realise that they have to spend a bit more to get a car worth having.
I think all prices have stabilised at the moment pending release of the X.
If that leads to a glut of IXs on the market then prices will be pushed down through the range. VIs will probably hold out the best as they have the least value to lose.
I expect that VIs and VIIs/Non-MR VIIIs will all fall to more or less the same value (like for like spec comparison) as the comparative benefits offset one another. The VI is older so will be less reliable over time, but has the rally car image. Whereas the VII/VIIIs are newer so will be more reliable but have a duller image.
I do find it unlikely that prices will go up though, there's just too many out there for that.
