Probably a fraction of what it cost to build! People forget that there is a lot of money in rally cars and it's only people like "us" that **** around with £500 ecutek remaps and £1,000 worth of suspension.
sounds like a fair price
especially as it's built by 'Staniforth'
as Aidy says....may sound high until you put it into context
if you're serious about it...sure I've still got Darrell's number somewhere as have had dealings with him in past....
...can try & dig it out & you can chat with him directly perhaps
Doubt he will have much trouble seling it. These cars cost a dam site more than that to build and has only 3 rallys under its belt.
I have seen a few mid build and the finished article in AMF Motorsport in Dublin and there is no expense spared. Brakes, Suspension, ECU, BluePrinting,Cages, safety equipment, seats etc, the list goes on. I was quoted some of the prices of the parts and they were scary and huge price difference compared to road car bits.
That car is on Northern Irish plates which is more or less the same price as your cars in UK
You would do very well to see any Rep of Ireland plated Group N cars because they never clear them. The duty would be in region of atleast10000euro aprx 6000stg for a set of ROI plates and could be put to much better use. You see a few German regd Evo Group N cars aswell.
