I have just put a deposit on an evo 8 fq300 but the owner has lost the stamped service history book. is there any way of tracing this through mitsubishi's database? the dealer they bought the car off and has done most of the services has now stopped trading in mitsubishi's.
the car is out of warranty anyway but it is the resale i am worried about. I did manage to knock money off for the lost service book and the owners asure me they met the 4500 intervals. Is it possible to get a replacement book and get a stamp to do it myself?
You can get a replacement book no bother, and if the garage it was serviced at has kept the records and is willing to re-stamp the book for you it might be the best you can hope for.
