Had a little trip upto the pod for a rwyb day, with me mates skyline in toe, only managed 2 runs as i felt the car was very lumpy and just didnt feel right, so had no real improvement from my time of 13.1 sec i did last year, only managed a 12.8 @ 109mph, i did bring my 0-60ft down a bit though @ 1.8 secs, think the car has a potential low 12 in it, if its running spot on and i actually launch the thing.....long way to drive home with no clutch, so i dont hold revs up to launch, so maybe a shaving of .5 secs is possible.......until next time i suppose!!
I did see 2 other Evo's up there although i didnt see them run, one was a silver Evo 3 with bronzeish wheels and an evo that resembled paul Norths, but not sure if it were him, if it was you paul, did ya run?
Cheers matey, time was ok, just was hoping for
a low 12, given the extra power over the last time i did lol but yeah the clutch probably woulda taken more than i gave it, so who knows
nice time mate !!
Even when i launched car in boiling heat my best 60 ft was 1.8 , tyres were even lowered to 20 psi. traction control is also my next buy,
Yeah i was mate, did ya son beat him? He wasnt very happy, he just couldnt get the thing of the line all day lol Keep telling him 4wd is the way to go There were some very nice Starlets there.....lots of them infact, we saw them at Toddington services and then there they were at the pod, some of them were bloody quick n all...i saw one hit a mid 13 sec which fora 1.3 turbo front wheeler aint shy is it
nice time mate !!

D'oh didnt think of lowering tyres, mine are at 32psi lol Still at least id stay with you upto 60ft then   Then you'd just tear off into the distance
Shoulda seen this blokes face and all his team crew when i beat his Drag popular thing with mahOOsive tyres on, they were all laughing at mine in the line up...probably because mine wouldnt idle, when i got back in the que they were like 'fair play mate that thing pulls hard dunnit....what is it?'  Thought they were thinking it was a Scooby
Im on par with someone at least then  you lose at lot of time in the launch though dont ya if you dont floor it from the line..... i just sat there about 3000rpm and dropped the clutch from there, which is playing it safe i know, but i want the clutch to stay in one piece like yourself
Yes my son beat him (good boy ) some of those Starlets go like hell He had a 14.2 first time ever on the strip and he feels he could prob do mid 13s. He was afraid to run again as a bit of water overflowed out of it. Turned out only to be a little too much in the expansion tank He has about 200 Brake. I was'nt there myself. I am thinking of going to the Shakespeare strip in September. Rae.

Yes they are only around 850 kg (he has removed the aircon) and it gets off pretty sharp no doubt the tein susp helps with that. Hope to see you at the Shakespeare day I will run my E4 see what she does. Rae.
