I have had a search around for track days and airfield days .
Restricted to sundays and days mid week its hard picking up on track day events.
Wanting circuits down south and there is sod all ,apart from coomb and to expensive.
wroughton airfield ,Abingdon airfield Ok but few events held considering wroughton is not used that often.
Interested in twisty circuits such as Cadwell/croft ,and perhaps billing in Nrthhampton.
You lucky fella's in the north have it all set up.Down this way they have the power but not the circuits.
Plenty for Anglesey,.Nothing is ever easy.
Where can i get invites to track days ?

Shorty,

First, it helps to have mates if you want to get track day invites [img]http://194.93.140.171/graphics/Wilk.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| middle >

If you don't need to be with loads of other Evos then there are a few outfits that do trackdays for the general public, though some of the posher ones insist on you becoming a member (keeps Max Power riff raff out, you see). Try a few of these:

www.easytrack.co.uk
www.bookatrack.com
www. palmersport.com
www.goldtrack.co.uk
www.brandshatch.co.uk
www.tracksense.co.uk
www.motorsport-events.co.uk (Blade's recommendation)
www.javelin-motorsport.co.uk
www.rma-limited.co.uk
Trackfun 01243 528815
Autocar Experience 020 8267 5520
or go to http://enformer4.usp.net/bmrc/major.cfm to get details of individual circuits. I know places like Croft do their own trackdays.

I'm not saying any of these outfits are good or bad as I haven't tried them myself, just pulled them out of an old copy of Autocar trackday article. I'm going to do a bit of research myself as I fancy doing a few more, especially if you can get decent amount of time with instructors. Keep me posted.

Steve.

Shorty, www.pistonheads.com also has a round up.

From what I know, motorsport events are excellent, as are bookatrack. I think Goldtrack are good, but expensive. Easytrack are always crowded and not totally 100% up on safety, but cheaper than most.

Paul,

To see what's available from everyone offering trackdays, take a peek at <a href|EQU| http://www.uktrackdays.co.uk target|EQU| _blank ><!--auto-->http://www.uktrackdays.co.uk</a><!--auto--> and <a href|EQU| http://www.circuitdriver.com target|EQU| _blank ><!--auto-->http://www.circuitdriver.com</a><!--auto--> The other alternative is to subscribe to Circuit News (available only by subscription) which is aimed totally at the circuit driver (funny that!) and which lists ALL known trackdays - details at <a href|EQU| http://www.circuitnews.co.uk target|EQU| _blank ><!--auto-->http://www.circuitnews.co.uk</a><!--auto-->

Don't forget the last MLR trackday of 2001 at Snetterton is on SUNDAY 25 November!!

Cheers Darin ,I will be at Snett to give it ago.
Quite a few airfields available ,which would be good for Mlr to hire for a day or2 per annum?
I missed this one last year due to not getting my licence back from the dvla .

Shorty - Nothing to do with this thread, but were you in Reading on Saturday? There was a blue EVO 4 behind my black M5 coming off the IDR - if it was you, you swung around the roundabout heading back up the MLR??
