View Full Version : what does a front lower suspension cradle do
what does a front lower suspension cradle do
cheers
Stops the struts moving under heavy cornering - same as the top strut brace. Keeps the suspension geometry correct when you place a large corner load on the car.
There are two types for the front - 2 point and 4 point depending on manufacturer
i got all of them :D
and a 3 point top front and 3 point rear and rear-rear bar
:D :D :D
Blade,
whats the rear - rear bar do ? is this also a Cusco Item ? as I've seen you mention it before but not actually seen one.
John

mmm
the mines is interesting.... but not sure it will be as effective as you think.
It is mostly lateral movement that causes issues with the suspension - e.g. camber changing. fore-aft movement at the rear is less of a problem. the cusco 3 point secures the struts horizontally, and then vertically by screwing to the boot floor - but takes alot of space up.
The rear-rear bar goes right at the back of the car... where the rear lights are, and provides more rigidity to the rear shell (which is useful as you have a big hole where the boot lid is :D
not essential really, but I wante dit all :D
The mines one is trying to do the same thing with in a slightly different way, with the 4 point cradle - i think it should have vertical fixing too really, to help reduce twist and vertical movement. The bars look sort of puny too (sorry!)
with the amount i throw my car around matches would do to help stop twisting:D!...'puny' ..puft!....and it was free!!:D.
.
and my ...what a shiny boot!
.
cheers blade i will have what u have :D except for the lsd's im getting some goodies from a friend
