silver in immaculate condition just been serviced and only been driven 6,000 miles, the car is registered as catD not because of damage repair but because the previous owner along with other passengers all claimed whiplash and therefore the insurance had to pay out more than what the value of the car was all in all the car from inside/out is still like brand new you can still smell the leather.

I had an insurance investigator come have a look at the car few weeks ago telling me the previous owners are under investigation for making a fraudulent claim and if found guilty the car will be taken off the register,he also went to say that the car was involved in a very minor hit to the passenger side and why the insurance categorised it was because of how much they had to pay out.
the only reason im selling it is because i hardly drive it and is always parked in the garage,need to make room for bigger toys!
for all of you that have nothing positive to say stay quiet! and for anyone that maybe interested give me a call and i'll take it down to the dealers it was bought from (browns mitsubishi in preston) they will tell you how good a condition its in.

hi mate sorry for the grilling i am interested but i'm a panel beater for nationwide crash repair i can see from the pics the 1/4 and both doors have been painted and if the claim exceeds the cars value it would make it a cat c could i have some closer pics of the 1/4 joins i.e the seem inside the boot and if you pull the rear door rubber back please you can pm me if you wish cheers rich

Looks can be deceiving. Why don't you just scan a copy of the HPI check and put it on here? You could also pay an RAC inspector £100 to have it checked, scan the report put that on here as well. If it's all fine then that would shut everyone up. Car looks mint but if I were buying it I'd require the above. Good luck with the sale. Good price.

Because as a moderator of this site it is part of my job to ensure adverts are not going to rip off people, in my opinion if somebody buys this car on the back of this advert then they will be getting ripped off.

While insurance fraud may have been perpetrated by the previous owner cars worth as much as yours do not get written off because 3rd parties claimed whiplash. Cars get written off because insurance companies do not want to repair them.
They do not write them off and then repair them anyway.
I am not suggesting YOU are deliberately trying to rip people off, If you were then you would simply not mention it was cat 'd'
I am suggesting the facts do not ring true.

You said I have to phone the insurance investigator, I said if you have no paperwork to back up your story the car won't sell.
I also say that You may be the victim of somebody elses insurance scam but your story as posted does not hold water.
