This is a great opportunity for everyone to really get to know who is who in the EVO tuning world, be it big tuning company or one man tuners.
Also a fantastic chance for potential customers to see cars already tuned by whoever with whatever and meet the tuners, talk to the tuners etc. Hey and even tuners talking to tuners! ;)
Wicked, lets make this a great success and maybe even get a good Jap Mag to feature our tuning gods :D

Right then girls....
Quite a few of the Tuners not mentioned above are being very childish...I cant believe that I've heard grown men who run their own businesses say things like "I'm not coming because so and so will get more power than me", or "I'm not coming if so and so comes, I dont like him"
Un***** believable !!! what an industry.
Anyone with an ounce of basic business acumen should view this as a great format to come and show off what they can do and hopefully generate some business off the back of it. Its all just a bit of fun anyway... no one's going to slate anyone for Christs sake.
Anyway... we are now opening this day up a bit, so if you want to run your car and you arent a Tuner, then let me know.
The above Tuners are still confirmed though - so should still be a good turn out.

Andy, its not a case of being "beaten", thats the whole point here.
The Tuner that turns up with a couple of grands worth of well set up mods that achieves a healthy power run and an excellent torque curve will prob replicate more business than a Tuner that turns up with £30k's worth of mad mods that are impractical however gets super high power figs.
An educational exercise if you want to look at it another way.

I know that, you know that but how many other people are going to use it as a 'Our stage 1 is better than their Stage 1' sort of day????
And you can guarantee that if someone doesn't perform as expected then the outcome on the board will be *interesting* to say the least!!!
I can understand why some of them don't want to participate because no matter how much you put it down as a 'non competative' event, people will still have competition in mind.
Should still be a good day out though and I'm looking forward to it :)

I don't see why you cannot say who said what. If they didn't say that any discussion was confidential all you are doing is saying why they are not turning up. They might expect you not to say why but if that is what they said then that is there problem!
I understand and appreciate why you want to keep the MLR out of trouble.

I'll be there as well, with the usual crowd from Mimms,
Thing is I wont be able to keep with you lot so it will have to be a case of meet you there.
What should I bring, my AE86 drift mobile or my Civic Type-R ??
BTW, I've now swapped out the supercharged engine in my AE86 and now have a normal NA 16V engine fitted, approx 120 - 130bhp so its not much cop on the m-way !!!!
Lets hope most of the big guns turn up to this event. Historically, lots of big name tuners dont turn up to days like these. There's only a few out there who will put their nads on the line...MAD, Norris Designs etc etc... They are all up for it atthe beginning but then the excuses start to flow nearer the date !!

Yeager - might be able to slot a couple of non Evo's on at the end of the day (dependant on drop outs on the day) as we have pretty much hit our figures on this.
Croz, we have Bar Med, Yates, Chicago Rock Cafe, Hogshead Bars in Aylesbury + a few clubs (catering to most tastes) - if anyone is up for a few scoops I will come out - can even keep a few cars on my drive in the interest of security. Bottle & Glass Travel Inn at £40pn would be the best place for people to stay over.

Are you posting up a final roll call of peeps going on the rollers? Will be interesting to see who is going, particularly the tuners.
One point about Jap Performance mag coming along - last time I saw a rolling road article in a Jap tuning mag, people who go to great lengths to keep their registration plates off the internet got them splashed across the pages of a magazine for the whole UK thieving scumbag community to see. Might be worth bringing some gaffer tape or at least asking JP to get permission before taking pics of cars with plates showing.

MOSI - cheers for the kind words but I'm not to sure about the "monster" bit especially with the work that Dave, Sam and others have been doing recently on their evos.
Cars in bits at the moment (nothing major), so I may be there the Friday before doing some tinkering on the RR, so should be up for some beers in the evening too. Going to need to head off about 2 in the afternoon on Saturday - any chance of an earlier run ?

Should I bring my Civic Type-R (to try and keep up with the convoy) or should I bring my rwd Corolla ( now with normally aspirated slow power !) and do a few doughnuts for everyone as entertainment in beween RR runs !!!!! ???

mosi i am sorry to have to inform you that i will not have the car ready in time for your G- FORCE DAY . car is running well NEW PIPER CAMS in but have new turbo development that needs time to sort out . was going to go to G-FORCE on the friday to map but now things have been taken out of my hand regards getting the car mapped . i will have to withdrraw at this time . well done on the big 400 numbers . what torque did it work out at ????? .

out on coming ?
I was suprised to read the 'suggested' reasons for not turning
up.
We all have our preferences when choosing who we spend
our hard earned cash with - we don't all want the same
thing and the cars are typically tuned to some degree of
performance/cost/driveability/results that suit our personal
tastes.
I would rather have better customer service, value for money,
guaranteed quality workmanship and honesty over the 2 or
3 brake horse power improvement from 2 competing 'Tuners'
offerings.
Shame on those who won't turn up just because they are
worried that Tuner 'x' had 1.3 bhp more than Tuner 'y'.
