Im interested as ive been told to fit one to get up to the 400 bhp mark and up the torque
do you need a remap when you fit one of these?

I can't say whether it is better or worse than any other boost controller on the market, what I can say is that I had this boost controller on my car for over 3 years with no probs what so ever ;)
It's a boost controller, if you raise the boost significantly, you need a remap. If you want to get to 400BHP you need a remap.
Vauxboy. The Apexi AVCR is probably considered the 'best' but is well known as being more difficult to set up correctly.
The HKS is pretty widely recognised as having just as good boost control as the AVCR but instead of jamming it full of changeable parameters like the AVCR they have done everything to keep it simple.
Depends on what you want?
AVCR is a pain to set up but lets you control just about everything.
HKS is easy to set up and controls boost well.
I use an EVC V in mine..Very happy with it...

a picture in limited edition black as these are the actuall ones for sale :)
Ive had the apexi avcr and Blitz sd id 3 but the HKS is much better than both of them for ease of use and stable boost control highly reccomend them
Quick question regarding the display screen on the HKS EVC.
Does it only show real time vacuum / boost and peak boost, or does it show any other parameters, and are there different display settings?
I've fitted and used the Apexi AVC-R, which was a good piece of kit, if not being a little too complex for my previous requirements, but most tuners seem to love them :)
Cheers.
