Who else makes these items for Evo 6? I know Cusco do, wondering if anybody else does them and are they cheaper?

Cheers,

Kevin.

Come on folks, there must be someone apart from Cusco that makes this kit? (On the lookout for anti-roll bars too)

Steve.

Ralliart makes the front one cheaper than the cusco.
HKS kansai have the front and rear ones but they are expensive.

If you don't want to spend the money for the front and rear cusco, just buy the ralliart front one that comes with the silent blocs and get ralliart silent blocs for the rear standard bar.

Any idea how much these are? The CUSCO and Ralli-Art ones?

Thanks!

Hi

Total set for both Cusco roll bars was about £600.

Will be cheaper now
as Yen is weak.

Strike now while the iron is hot :D :D

Cusco rear bar is adjustable

Rear one works well. Allows you to run softer springs for more grip, yet still reduce roll (by increasing roll striffness 66%)

The front one will increase understeer on it's own, so be warned

On the Taka Kaira website there are 2 Cusco rear bars for Evo IV/V/VI:
- 18mm diameter bar with a 33%-66% increase in roll stiffness for 19,000 Yen (about £100):
- 23mm barwith a 108%-138% increase in roll stiffness for 25,000 Yen.

They only do one front bar which is 25mm and non-adjustable (ups roll stiffness by 135%). 25,000 Yen again.

Have left a message with Coordsport about the spec of their front (they don't do a rear one). They are doing an offer on this at £160+VAT. It is 24mm diameter - they are checking on uplift in roll stiffness.

Steve, the 18mm rear bar is SOFTER than standard (i.e. it is 33% to 66% of standard stiffness). I have the 23mm one and run it at 138% :D

I also have the front bar

Sorry, I misquoted the 66% increase earlier - it is of course 38% :D

From memory the co-ord one is 20 to 25% stiffer

BTW, the front is a BITCH to change - you have to drop the front subframe

Blade - good point about the fitting. That's going to make for a an expensive roll bar! I'm going to pass on this until after I've got my new suspension - one thing at a time then its easier to guage what effect each mod has and put it right if needed.

But I am puzzled - why would they make a rear anti-roll bar that allows more roll?

Possibly to get more grip on loose surfaces. It is common I believe to have a soft anti-roll bar, or even no anti-rollbar on gravel.
