The Northern MLR Rolling Road Day is now confirmed at The Racing Line, Halifax, West Yorkshire on Saturday 11th November. www.theracingline.co.uk

The Racing Line's Dyno Dynamics rolling road cell now features two monster fans; one in front (as shown below) and a second behind the car which is being installed now to keep your pride n' joy cool during the runs. :) Conrad and Matt will be available all day to answer any questions you might have about your graphs :smthumbup

Details are as follows:

* Maximum 30 cars
* £35 for MLR members / £45 for non members
* Starts at 9am
* Burger van onsite all day
* All graphs and car specs will be added to MLR Modified (http://www.lancerregister.com/mlr_modified.php)
* Magazine coverage (with luck!)

Didnt Redline offer to run cars for free from the last RR day we held there? Dont know what happened to that.

Intake temps were through the roof which then in turn gave false readings, Redline offered to sort out another day for free when they replaced the single hairdryer fan. The thread is still here somewhere.

Gents, just to clarify the "Free Run situation"........

The free runs will be still available to those that had problems on the earlier date in the year and met our offer criteria, but to keep things simple this date will be run as a normal MLR RR paying day and the the Free runs will be held later in the year on a seperate date.

This RR day is being done on a first come first served bases, and as the post I made on page 5 (19th October) stating who had paid, I assumed that you would either pay via the shop or phone if you wanted to go. I had checked that you have been on the site between my posts and saw that you had been posting, (ATP Turbo kit on 30th Oct and Alcon group buy on 21st etc) so assumed that you had noted in my 3 posts that you were not on the paid list.

I had also noted the comment you had made about the ‘free run’ and the reply that Conrad had given concerning this, Quote [Gents, just to clarify the "Free Run situation"........

The free runs will be still available to those that had problems on the earlier date in the year and met our offer criteria, but to keep things simple this date will be run as a normal MLR RR paying day and the the Free runs will be held later in the year on a seperate date.

that camera should be fine for some good pics. You just need to try harder with stuff like that. I have many profesional cameras but if i aint using it for work i just use a little canon powershot 3.2 mega pixel and still get great shots.

I had AVCR issues... again!!... but still managed 280hp/295fltbs at the wheels so around 368hp/388flbs at the crank using the 24% rule, not too bad when you see the shape of my boost curve!....spiked to nearly 1.7 then dropped back under 1.4 and crept back upto the 1.6 it was meant to a few thoushand rpm further on, not sure what happed as on the road it goes to and holds 1.6bar all the way with very little spiking and no drop off :( ... most odd.

Still a good day if a little cold!...also good to meet a few new people and a few regulars :D...big thanks to the MLR team for making this day happen :)

A gain of 20BHP with the MR engine over the old original one that blew up but torque is down (275 atw previously) ????? Bit odd considering all ancillarys etc are the same including the turbo as it was when fitted to the original engine.

Heres my graphs, ive overlayed the boost graph onto power and torque graph to show the wierd boost control i had....wish i had spent more time on rollers to tweak avcr to hold the 1.6 it was on the road but didnt realise it had dipped so low back under 1.4bar after spiking to 1.7, oh well theres always next time :)

Looking at the graph now it looks a little odd as boost line is long way off the power/torque line does this look normal ?, almost like the boost line is from a different run :confused: ....although i know they had probs getting rpm pickup or something so maybe its just in the wrong position ?

Ian, i have had the same sort of problem with the avcr on the rollers did you have learn gear on as this can sometimes make it play up on the rollers.

I had the same problem, my boost solenoid is playing up after siezing last week, so by 7000rpm the boost had dropped to 1.3bar :rolleyes:

260lbft ATW wasnt too bad I suppose.

Maybe a new 1.4 bar actuator and a new solenoid will do the trick :cool:

No i always have learn gear off Lee, thinking of changing to a blitz bc but saying that its fine on the road, will prob run it on another dyno just to see if its the same. Usual story i guess in that car drives awesome on the road but just didnt make the numbers on the rollers due to boost issues etc.

well another great mlr day out ,shame about the weather :(
well pleased with my results ,was hoping for around 380 atw ,came out at 401.4hp and 355ft/lbs atw,got a dip in the graph which we think is down to valve float so will hopefully get that rectified soon.
great to see old and new face,s ,got to see paul martin,s car run which was well impresive as was barries from distinctive cars,but had to leave before the two rc cars ran ,anyone know there result,s?

The orange car was 562BHP and 497 ft lb of torque at the wheel if I remember correctly. Ric

Was nice to see everyone again despite the cold weather - I'm bringing a hot water bottle next time. Shame we missed the RC cars' runs but my toes would have dropped off from frostbite if we'd stayed any longer.

The cold was painful, but worth it ..... we saw three of our customers cars total 2106 hp ! But the biggest supprise to us was the torque figure on Bob' orange evo 5 , running 739 hp and 654 ftlb ( assuming 24% losses to be correct )
Big thanks to the guys at Racing Line who worked on into the cold evening and had to stay till the end.....nice one!

plus a few other things to make it REALLY noisy!!!! :crackup:
