Hey, would anyone be interested in a Rolling Road day at well Lane Turbo Centre in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Well Lane Turbo Centre have a slot available on Sunday November 26th - the price for a power run only is £30 a car, minimum of 12cars, maximum of 25, 9.00am till the finish. I am willing to accept deposits of £10 by paypal or cheque if people are happy to trust me. :D

I have posted this on PassionFord too so with a bit of luck we might get a nice mix of motors too, 1st come 1st served.

Have to say the racing line do give a fantastic service. If I remember rightly the last MLR Northern RR day was held here.

Just out of interest what rolling road do W.L.T.C. use? R.L. use the Dyno-Dynamics one I think which is generally considered to be the best on the market.

No good for me to get to though as I'll be at Oulton Park the day before and have a bit of birthday bash going on!!

Shame cos the cars not been RR'ed since having its new 8MR engine fitted. :(

Changed my mind and i dont think any of us should go to well lane as i have just been on the fone to them about various things and they said ''sory we dont do evos''.

see if something can be sorted out for 1 at Racing line as they have just been very helpful and my car is book in there for tue now.

Jez it is your right to go or not, but the name of the day is to have a social gathering accessible to people from allover the area with good motorway networks, a power run also enables anyone too get a basic drift of what there car is pushing out. If you want your car tinkering with you go too a specialist, of which well Lane admit there not. So to suggest other people do not attend after i have spent a week trying to co-ordinate this on 3 forums is most unhelpful.

Sadly mate - if a garage admit that they dont do Evo's, you'll have a hard job getting us Evo fanatics to take our pride and joy there. I dont think for one minute that Jez had any intention of spoiling your organised day(s)

I think you will find that there is an official MLR Rolling Road day here (http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=127566) at The Racing Line on the 11th of November. Its a Dyno Dynamics RR and they do know about evo's :cool:

Well does it matter which garage specializes in a particular car, a rolling rd day u drive on and drive off, theres no specific tuning or tweaking involved at all, it's basically a loan of the rolling rd, thanks for the support NOT, from browsing the site over the last month it was obvious too me that nothing was happening in the Yorkshire area so i tried too kickstart something, obviously a waste of time. :moon:

I would advise anyone thinking of attending in a car over 350bhp not to bother - Well Lanes RR is very old and although is rated upto 600bhp (IIRC) it becomes very unreliable.

The last MLR RR day there was an absolute shambles, Dom's first post sums it up....

In my experience, i've been there twice in my old Impreza and three times in my Evo - the last time the car was producing over 400 bhp but Well Lanes rollers couldnt get an accurate measurement; this was with two big guys in the back, two sat in the boot and myself in the front of the car to stop wheelspin :rolleyes:

Your choice and your money, but i really do strongly advise against using them....
