Thanks Dunc that really hit home.
I imported the car from Japan, started to modify the car with a larger turbos TDO5 H and a aluminum piping, with Blitz SBCiD boost controlerand aBlitz Power iD, with AFC,ITC,MSD,Teins HA Suspension,Blitz Nur Spec cat back system,Blitz Air Intake,XS Fuel Pressure Regulator,Denso Irdium Spark plugs,Twin Turbo Supra Intank Pump,Momo Steering wheel and Konig 17" Verdict wrapped in Kumho 215/40/17 rubbers,9.8:1 Ross Pistons, Crower Rods,Port and Polish Heads,Quads Cams 272....And to come,Mote 4800.
Current Bhp without MSD (as it was sent to the US for repairs) reads on the four wheel dyno at 346 BHP with 318 Ft Lb torque.
I....Love...This ...Car
The engine compartment has gone through a few evolution, no pun intended, so it looks even better now.

Looks like you've done alot of work. How are the brakes holding out with that power?
I've not seen much info on this series galants, especially not over here. Am I correct in thinking that it is the E84? You seem to have been able to source alot of parts for it which is good to know. That model is so rare over here that they are about the same price as some of the cheaper 8th Generation VR4's.
The MIVEC engine on the FTO is the same block, has anyone ever thought about using the MIVEC system in conjunction with the turbo engine, that would make for an interesting technical challenge. As I remember the MIVEC system changes the cam profile and duration.
I think that the 7th Gen Galant is a beuatiful car that was just left by the wayside over here because it was to grandad for most tastes but in VR4 form its perfect.

In case you haven't gathered I want one!!!!

I gathered that DUNC. However the brakes that are great from factory are same as the Mitsubishi Pajero. They were upgrade to Endless Rotors and Endless Disc Pads, what stopping power.
The mivec engine was considered, however the weight of the car still would be a factor. A 3000 GT VR-4 engine is now been considered as i am looking for at least 550 wheel horse power, with 500 ft lb torque.
Any Evos, M3s, Audis,WRXs or STis are what i call whopper combo wit bacon and cheese.
There is a later shape in Australia going for about AUD$40,000.00
