Decided to take a few pics of the clutch I put in last Sunday. Check it out:

This is ajob i have coming up in the not too distant future, and i'm in two minds to do it myself or pay to have it done. :)
I take it the plastic tool for lining the plates up came with the Cusco kit? And it looks like your using an air gun to undo the flywheel, is this correct?
Keep us informed of how the Cusco compares to the AP too!

RichW, do it yourself mate, its quite a nice project to engage yourself in. ;)
The aligning plastic piece does not come with the Cusco kit, although you can buy it at any parts store. I actually had a set of them. I bought a used tool box from a friend that left to go back to Brasil, and he had a full set of them. Again, its a plastic piece, shouldn't break your bank.
Yep, I'm using an impact gun. I have small air compressor with a 6lbs tank. ****ty, but surely does the job. Just gotta wait for the pressure to rise every time you use it. Can be time consuming, yet the compressor cost me under 100USD at the time. Bought it off my neighbor. :p I also used the air gun to bolt on the new flywheel.
Dont even mention AP to me anymore. I rather suffer with the noise, hard clutch engagement, few stalls, etc. then use yet another AP disk. Trust me, you'll not be disappointed with the Cusco. It grabs like no other clutch I've owned. :) Hopefully it will last me a long time considering the investment I made when I bought this clutch (ouch!). Then gain, it was worth every cent.
OH, forgot to mention something. The kit does not come with a release bearing. Cusco only offers this for certain cars, and obviously, the Evo is not one of them. :( The website can be tricky b/c it clearly states that the bearing is included, until you follow up on the remark.
Anyway, I didn't feel it was necessary to replace the bearing consiering that I had just replaced it less than 5K miles ago when I put the AP in.

RichW, there's always the umbrella option. :D
Moses, now you have some guidance when it comes time to do your clutch. In your case, since you're waiting for the 370ftlbs of torque your so eager to achieve, it should take awhile till ur next clutch job mate. :p

:lol: i agree jigga its a pity i was thinking money grows on trees im a lil skint so ive delayed the turbo till i pay the current bills :D lol, wish me luck and not just that my wife opened my statement and then she phoned me at work and says that was so bad moses u have a lil baby now and u just spent 6000 in 2 months see i only told her i bought the evo 6 tommi panels not the rest, she wasnt suppose to find out about the rest, so she is well pi55ed

YA YA mates, all great stuff here. :D Except for the part where I shave me nutties. Did it a few times, after girlies request. Too itchy and scratchy for me. :D Plus, I leave the blades strictly for automotive use, nothing more. Gets too noisy anyway in the thumping of the ol in and out process due to oversized masculine growth. :cool:

Only when I know I'll have time to to wipe off some of that ****e. Great stuff, but you have to be devoted and spend some time.
Fun Dip is good too mate. Just dip your stick and make her lick. Makes great phtos (have quite a few). :p
