Saturdays are tricky for me - that particular weekend I am off to Wales with the missus. Also too cold for upt north!!

And, am doing Donington that week too.

AND am doing another on Friday this week - she will my guts for garters if I do any more :D

Think I am doing Oulton again when it is warmer (March I think it is, with Claudius hopefully :D)

Hi Barry:)

I will be there again hopefully Clive will of managed to do my AP Brakes and amp; a couple of other mods by them.

I am down in the Smoke sorry London all next week for Expo@Olympia so I will enjoy driving round the CARPARK/RACETRACK again.

RC's new place looks good I am sure I will see you there again soon.

I don't think there are many Evo's there but I am dragging along a Friend of mine Terry from Dimma who used to race with another friends GT2.
I am sure that will make it more interesting especially because he is talking about buying an Evo to race in.

I have going with RC again also Warrender's hopefully we will have a good turnout.

And a Dry DAY PLease.

Barry,

That sounds cryptic....

Look forward to meeting you on the day - doesn't look like there will be many other Evo's on track, could do with some moral support!

Kevin.

if RC are there then surely its a trackday to avoid judging by the reports that came flyying back last december at oulton ? Not blaming them of course - it just sounds a bit portentious.

Jackal there was nothing wrong with RC in December there development car preformed superbly on the track and reminded others about there spends on there cars.
I am a customer of RC and as Simon Extreme remembers apologised for my spin at Oulton.
Enjoyment of the Track days is there for all and as Mellow is there it makes it more fun I am also bringing a long a couple of friend who I am sure will make it more interesting.

Hi Mellow Wide Body Evo here as Graham joked in the pub.

See you soon guys

Jackal the reports came from Simon Extreme,so can therefore be ignored,he was just scared when the big bad fast cars came near him,he thought track days were just posing parade laps,I doubt if we will see him on track again, unless that is they restrict the speed to say 70mph when he's on track.

I look forward to seeing you guys on the day,I will be bringing my wife she loves track days, and Clive at RC will be taking her round she is very brave:)

I'd like to come along and have a look at the RC car as well - still deciding to invalidate my warranty or not by going the RC route. Had a quick chat to them on the phone and they were very helpful - I'll see you there.

:(:(:(:(

Looks like I'll not be out in your group guys unless I can speak nicely to one of the marshals to allow me to mix it ...otherwise we'll be spectating each other due to me originally booking via Easytrack and not Warrenders......:(

Mellow, OT, there is a thread about Drummond 40mm dampers (which you have) - can you give your views please?

Mellow
15-02-2002, 11:20
Hi Blade,
When I looked into changing my suspension I spoke to several * experts * and basically told them that I wanted the best available....it seemed DMS's were the ones to go for.
Fully ride height adjustable they also have 30 settings (dampers) although I leave mine set at full firm (30 clicks) all of the time....still a nice ride..etc..
My only gripe is that they come with 185lb rear springs and 225lb front springs....great for road but a tad too soft for track...I still get more body roll than I would like when pushing the car around the track so I've opted to change the spring ratings to 250lb rear and 300 - 350lbs front....basically to try and get a compromise for track and road use.
That's about all I can say really, I'm not a technical guy, I just pays my money and expect it to work.
People who have followed me have remarked on how planted and well it corners, however, roll cage, strut braces and polybushes also play their part here.
Price was £1890 supplied and fitted (inc full geometry checkand alignment) at www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk based in Nottingham :)
Hope this is of some use, feel free to mail me direct for any other points I may not have answered.
Chris

22-02-2002, 23:28
Hi Blade

I take it you are not there Simon Extreme is not either so I am sure I will be quite safe.
The day is looking quite good as I am bringing a couple of friends along with there toys to the party.
A GT2, A group N Evo also if I can twist his arm a 360 spyder It will be fun if it is snowing.

But that will enable these guys to have an advantage because of driving Porsches in Finland recently.

Shame you are not there look forward to meeting you again:)
