Hello 1/4 mile fans !!
Alexis (Cream GTiR) and myself are organising a big Santa Pod meeting for the end of February. Dates are still to be confirmed.
There will be a large contingent of big power GTiR's and 3 or 4 500bhp|PLS| Skylines. This message is going out across the Skyline register, GTiR's, Supra's and Japukmeets.
Cost on the day will be £8 entrance per person and also £10 per car for unlimited runs down the strip. Bring your drivers licence if you want to race !!
Please register your interest here !
Thanks
Si

Looks like the date will be 24th Feb, if there's enough interest.
Sounds good - put us down - watching not racing!
yup,
i am up for that one simon..
teri,
lets see that brute up the strip?
Robert
Parts for 'the brute' are way too rare and expensive to go trashing them up the 1/4 mile. :(
Aye I'll be there as I can almost **** on the track from my house!
won't be running though

BTW, we have a meeting time for this as
8.30am South Mimms (M25)
9.00am Toddington Services (M1)
10.00am Santa Pod.
I think the same guys will be going as last time. This means there will be a convoy of Skylines, Supras, Impreza's, GTiR's and Evo's !!!!
Should be excellent !
Si

R

evil,
looking forward to it! BTW ask Alexis if he remembers a little mishap on the way to the pod last year in his GTIR, Dan and i were in the car infront of him when he decided to take the bend a little, lets just say........quickly, all we could see in the rear view mirror was Alexis in his cream GTIR coming sideways up the grass verge...........ooops nasty bodywork damage as he ground to a halt, funny though when we reversed back to him to check him and his mate were allright, the first words out of his mouth were thats how NOT to take a corner
ask him if he remembers that one expensive day at the pod!! Nice bloke though, he knows Dans GTIR quite well.

I will be going and have promised my wife, Kim a few go's down the strip.
I look forward to meeting a few more members.
I was thinking of uprating the clutch before I go but have decided
to do the damage to the existing clutch before I fit the AP organic
clutch.

Just to back up what i said the other night Skeletor and Kim, i will be happy to escort you down the strip Kim, its good fun and you will enjoy, only one problem, hubby might not be too impresed, its quite addictive and he'll probably not get a go once you've done one run, got visions of you just going round and round and never giving him his car back!!!!!!!
Look forward to it

Skeletor - The standard clutch wont last long at all I'm afraid down the drag strip. Me and (Evo4girlracer) have done two standard clutches down the drag strip, so if you smell that burning, go easy. Lee
I dont think it makes a lot of difference, you will get lost either way! But remember that Oulton Park is not too far from your favourite place - yep - Stoke! try and get past it before it drags you in :)

Lee,
Lets face it, the attraction of stoke is too great as soon as you get out of London and so you might as well come all the way up here and come along to Oulton with us.
Andy
P.S. You'll have the most powerful car in our little scooby convoy..... :)

Sorry Guys and amp; Girls will be giving it a miss this time.
First reason loads of work to catch up on and the second reason weather.
Last time I travelled up it was rained off until later on in the day and they would not
let any more cars down the strip.
I wouldnt like to travel up for another wasted journey.
Evo4GirlRacer, Kim said she looks forward to it next time.

Sorry guys,
Got the car looking mint yesterday for todays outing, only to get up at 7am this morning to find it lashing down with rain, now i love the pod but the weather is a big issue when its the only day off in a week that i get, the spring cleaning seemed more appealing today in a dry warm house.
Debs... next time though:)
