View Full Version : MLR’s ‘October Fest’ at Cadwell 11/10
From Rockingham - the circuit with the best facilities (bar none!), we go to Cadwell – the circuit with the best mountain (bar none!!) :)
Friday 11th October is the date for our second helping of Cadwell this year. It’s always hugely popular and we’re already down to the last 25 places, so if you’re coming to the home of MLR trackdays, please book asap.
Here’s what you can expect;
* open pit lane on the full circuit
* the mountain
* free professional driver tuition throughout the day from Mark, Graeme and Charlotte
* comprehensive tyre services from Silverline (I hope)
* on-track photography from Pete Wileman
* the mountain
* personal and car insurance, and helmet hire will also be available on the day
* full information pack prior to the day
* as always we’ll be staying at The Haywain before AND after for great food, beer and gassing about what will (and did) happen :p
* and did I mention THE MOUNTAIN?! :D
MLR members price is only £119 and you can now pay by credit card via the MLR’s new online shop. Additional drivers are £35 and passengers £5, both of which can be paid for on the day.
If you’d prefer to pay by cheque please make it payable to the MLR and send to PO Box 2740, Radstock, Bath, BA3 2XZ
If you have any questions, please ask here or email me direct; darin@lancerregister.com
Cheers,

What this mountain story? Sounds like you really like it. Is it the hill on the circuit?
Claudius
It is the part of the circuit where your wheels will most likely NOT be in contact with the tarmac once you get to the top! :D
After a sharpe right hand corner, immediatley you have the part called the mountain, very steep.
There is an mpeg of this part of the circuit, if you click on trackdays at the bottom of the banner, then track layouts, Cadwell.

Oh, you mean you get airborne? :)
Believe it or not, I know a spot in town here where I leave all 4 wheels off the ground, in a small tunnel, big wall on each side, about 1m on each side. If you slide into the wall (it's damp in there sometimes), you will most probably hit both sides of the car!
But it's much safer to do this on a track. Looking forward to it, if I can make it.
I'm sorry, I cant confirm, I am still running the car in, I still need a few parts, still got no map etc. etc. :(
Top Circuit,Top Day, Top Organisation!
Fancy being a seat warmer again, Teri?
See you there.
Most definatley Terry, got to experience 'ole red around Cadwell, Rockingham was good, but Cadwell must be the ultimate :D
See ya there :) will also call in to the Haywain again the night before, would be rude not to ;)
Teri
Excellent track - I even manged to break my clavicle 30 seconds after my pic opposite was taken!
ouch! :( there are not many bikers who come away from a Cadwell 'off' without injury.
You can say that again - I now even have a titanium plate left in with 7 screws - worth as much as a full exhaust system !
Where is this place ?
I may come along for the crack if its not too far

Teri
I may well be there then.
ta very much
Steve
try & get to the Haywain the night before if you can, great food and bar and of course, company.:D
Teri
I will be there :) provided my new brakes arrive from Germany as promised next week :angst:
Will try to get to the Haywain for a jar or two but not sure about staying there - last time there was a pipe knocking so loud I had to stuff wet bog roll in me ears to get to sleep :(
Steve.

Come on Mellow
I'm not towing you back again it ruined my Monster EVO image:D
Hi Teri
Sorry I did not get chance to take you out at Rockingham
Dale
From my lack of posting re; Rockingham you can probably guess how ******** I felt on the day.... :(
I seem to break everything put before me
However, it was a 12yr old ford....and t'was going mighty well before the incident ;)
Had a great day yesterday at Oulton Park and check the time of this posting....I'm off to Cadwell :) (In a scoob)
My sincere thanks to Coffeman (Dale) for his help and support in getting the old dog back....I owe you more than one mate !
Grateful thanks to DaveD and his companions who tried desperately to get me back on the road...it turned out to be the hub as well :(
And to all the new peeps I met at Rockingham, especially Jeremy and Gary :) (I still think Insbro is posessed ;) )
See you all up at Cadwell :)
If you makes you feel better chris, just been to Donno and sheared one of my front hubs.
It just gets better and better for me....
Maybe time to throw in the towel.
I am seeing forward to meet all you nutters.
we already booked and paid and we will be staying in haywain hotel to brag about our cars.:)
blade put on some new rubber on the M5:D
you know whats gonna happen. lol
it s easy to spot me the only evo 7rs with non uk plates :)
andre
Depends if i make it...

I wont be able to make it :(: the RR is booked until Oct 20 and I'm still waiting for parts...
I`ll be there... watching
Better than not been there at all though! :D
Rich.
I might try and make this as a spectator and hopefully blag a few more rides than I did at Rockingham. It would be good to meet up again.
Steel,
Ive got an empty passenger seat on that day, look me up if you want a spin!
Did Cadwell earlier this year, great little track one of my favorites!
looking forward to a good day.
Thanks Woody, I'll look you up :D
As Cadwell is probably one of the best circuits in the UK, I thought it should be back at the top of this section of the Forum
Look forward to seeing you guys a week-on-friday, and be warned, it will rain !!
Hi all,
Don't know if this will be treated as good news or bad - s'pose it really depends on if you've booked! ;) - but the day is now provisionally full.
I say 'provisionally' because there are a few people who still have 'cheques in the post', but which I'm expecting to fall onto the doormat anytime now.
The cars are as varied as always including 20 Lancers of various descriptions (along with the usual mixed bag of automobilia), and we even have Andre driving over (advevo) from The Netherlands(!) with a couple of Scooby owning mates, so it should be another blinder!
See you all there . . . . or in The Haywain for beer and nosebag the night before! :D
Cheers,
Darin
MMM no car how gutted am i :( i must ask mellow if i can bum a ride over !! try and tempt andre into a MOVIT demo :D
Gary,
That sounds like a plan to me mate.....
We'll go the night before for the nosebag and drinky poo's ;)
I wonder who'll be the lucky girls waiting on our tables that night :D:D:D:D
Oh god i sense another long night and an even longer morning coming up ;) :) :)
Hi Chris
"At this moment in time" it looks like I will be there....:D
Julian,
It'll be great to see you again......seems like a lifetime ago since we last teamed up ;)
some rain would be nice or better dry at cadwell and rain on bedford were we go a day later.

I am making the long trip down from bonny Scotland (in convoy with Sam & Moses :p ) to cadwell to spectate at my first MLR trackday. Really looking forward to meeting some of you nutters and finally putting some faces to names.
As its my first MLR trackday I would really appreciate it if I could get some passenger laps in with some of you guys (grovel grovel) :D:D
See you all at Cadwell ;)
Span....
You're more than welcome to a few laps with me :)

Cheers Mellow,
What about some nice fast EVO's, Blade, Thorak, Advevo - show us what your capable of :D:p
Span, dont start them off again  :D
all of you guys can take a passenger seat with me if my car holds up all day:D
and the hopefully the brakes willhold up so long
Andre
I'll watch you 'survive' a few laps first :D then decide about the passenger rides;)
seriously tho, will be nice to meet you, see you there
Teri
Span, I think you will find Mr Mellow will be one of the fastest there - even if he is driving a Subaru Justy!
I will be slow because my car is crap, and I am a useless driver - and totally scared of cadwell :D
Sam will be fast because he is a lunatic who has no respect for other people's cars (bitch) :o
Thorak will be the slowest because his car will not be finished in time :D :D :D
Passenger seat open to you guys, and Gazz :D ;) love Cadwell takes me back to racing there on bikes, bloody Evo is soo wide though :)
Kevin
Y do i get the feeling im going too be screaming like a big puff all day ? maybe the passenger rides with MELLOW, ANDRE & T27 might have something to ndo with it    oh and another night on the beer with mellow :(

It sounds like a real pain, still someones got to do it :D
Should be a great day!
GAZ@CPP offical MLR victim ;) :D
Daved6, me, Sam Elassar, Moses and Spanbody are staying at the Brackenborough.
Anyone else joining us there?
the mayhem is much nicer you rich bitches
Ermmm.... Gaz....calm down my young man ;) the fact that we will get total air coming over the mountain section and will shoot through the green wooded section within 6" of a solid safety barrier at circ 100mph sideways and leave the braking on the backstraight until way beyond the 50m marked board shouldn't concern you in the slightest ;) :D
Dave's Radical beastie will be the motor, can't wait to see that come over the mountain...eh Dave :)
The Bailey red Escort will be there too and I'm looking forward to see that thundering around
I'll either be in a lowly modded EVO OR..... an even lowlier but slightly more modded Saph Cossie (now with new hubs, wheel bearings, AP 6 pots and hopefully a bigger turbo than was at Rockingham :) )
Either way it's going to be a stormer of a day :)
My fastest lap time (not that we count peeps :( ) was 1 min 37 secs in the Subaru STi Type RA V Ltd :)
Till then
Chris
Looking forward to a top day m8 :D , SR3 should be well airborne off the mountain ;)
