View Full Version : Excellent, as always
Special thanks to Darin,Vic and Mechell for another fantastic trackday. Rockingham was a superb day at a fantastic day. There was agreat variation in cars and some new faces.
Can't wait for Darins next day at Cadwell Park. Always a bargaian, always fun.
Ditto, well done and thanks again Darin and crew!
Trouble is Rockingham spoils you a bit for other circuits. I was used to changing my wheels sitting in a puddle in the middle of a gravel car park, but I now expect a valeted garage with power supplies and hot & cold running water :D
I enjoyed the circuit, I thought there were some nice variations on the infield circuit. The contours added to it and all the corners were a bit different - some you had to hit an early apex, some late, and some you had a choice, for example the first hairpin after turn one where you could turn late and sneak up the inside coming off the apex or go in quicker and run wider.
Also nice surface, kerbs etc. And they didn't seem too picky about noise levels either. That Mk 2 Escort surely can't have been close to 106db?!
I also had a superb day yesterday and many thanks to Darin et. al. for the excellent organisation (as always).
Steve Carter (driver of one of the yellow R500's) took some excellent photos. His site is:

Just follow the links to the Rockingham 20/9 page.

Whose was the silver VI who got a bit over excited on the first familiarisation session? Someone said it was Kevin but his car looked OK to me.
Also then saw Kevin parked up with AA in attendance at exit to circuit on way home. Nothing serious I hope?
DK
Kevin did have an incident, and clipped his wing.
His clutch ejected itself out of the car, hence the AA van
Link doesn't work
Works OK for me. Steve has said elsewhere that his page has moved very recently so a few stabs on ctrl-F5 should eventually do the trick. It's worth it ... some excellent pictures taken with a very expensive camera :D

Great day - and fantastic fun to get back into a bit of "spirited" driving.
Thanks to Terry, Billy and Kurt for letting me loose in your cars!
It's the most fun you can have without taking your pants off!
