He did about 62 seconds, a class record, but was on slick tyres so according to the commentator, the record wont stand.

Thanks, makes an interesting benchmark for my own class.
Our class record (on road legal tyres) is 70.68, not too shabby for an MGB then, only 8 seconds different. hehe
only 8 seconds! :D
correct me if Im wrong, but hasnt Richards EVO 5 got a not too standard EVO 6 engine in it too!?

What ? :) 8 seconds is only about 11% of the total class time. LOL.
Its not like we'd have to push the cars much harder to gain that time. :D Over a very short course. he he. Thats about 1 second gained per corner. Pump up the tyres, pop in some octane booster and wahey !
