Thinking about selling my 1.8 GSR in next few weeks so im just gauging interest before i decide for sure. I need to pay off a few debts and be sensible for a while so its got to go but im trying really hard to find some way of keeping it
Ive spent loads of money on it, getting all the small bits sorted and then sensibly upgrading performance parts. Here's the full spec:
1994 CD5A 1834cc Lancer GSR 4x4 WHITE in colour
MOT until December 2006 - flew through last MOT with only rear anti-roll bar bushes that needed changing
Taxed until July 2007
Currently 110,000 on the clock but 74k of those were kilometres so thats 46k miles + 36k since its been in the UK, totalling 82k miles.
The car is in excellent condition with no dents or serious scratches in the bodywork except for a small nick by the front passenger door handle about 2cm in size.
4G93T engine pushing out 205bhp as standard but fuelling and boost have been upgraded and its now pushing out around 260-270 peak power with the following mods:
Evo 1 Gizzmo Chipped ECU
Evo 3 AFM with Apexi Power Intake Filter + Heatshield
Evo 4 Fuel Pump (150lph)
Evo 4 510cc Injectors
Evo Front Mount Intercooler and all piping
Decat pipe + Cat-back blitz exhaust system, looks about 3" with 2.5" exit pipe on back box which is nice on boost but not too loud off.
Dawes device boost controller currently set at 1.2 bar, standard boost is around 0.7 bar.
Evo 1 Front brake calipers, discs and pads replacing puny 1 pot standard brakes. Discs and pads will need to be replaced soon but i have pads ready to go on, just need the discs.
Apex 40mm Lowering springs on standard struts
Front and rear Cusco Strut braces
New spark plugs and leads within last two weeks
Brand new exedy evo clutch fitted less than 500 miles ago at Autofixed
New track rods ends and poly front anti-roll bar droplinks fitted less than 6 weeks ago.
Exterior
Evo 2 Front bumper with black splitter (fitted and sprayed in 2003 when car was imported)
Evo 3 side skirts and rear end caps (fitted and sprayed by Disco Dave @ Hybrid Motorsport about 3 months ago)
17 x 7.5" Limited Edition Team Dynamics Diablo Alloy wheels in anthracite with polished lip with 3 month old Yokohama A539 tyres
Black Ralliart Mudflaps
Calipers are also painted white to match body work
Interior
Full Evo 2 interior in grey
Tailored mat set in black with cream piping and words 'Mitsubishi Evolution' embossed on drivers mat.
Indiglo Dials that are switchable between blue and green and brightness adjustment.
Blitz boost gauge in a-pillar pod.
JVC EL Chameleon MP3/CD player which folds away to show a blank face so you dont have to remove face to deter thieves!
Alpine 6x9 speakers replacing those in the door
Silver painted air-con dash surround and speedo surround which was professionally done in vauxhall silver and looks
Silver Isotta pedals and steering wheel which make the interior look so much better
Servicing
All transmission oils were changed in december 2005 by rich@RGMotorsport along with Fuel filter
Brake and clutch fluids changed with clutch last week
Engine oil is changed religiously by myself every 3000 miles or so with Castrol 10w 60 or Silkolene 10w 50 which seems to keep the tappets quieter but the do still rattle a little on start up. I have also just found a small oil leak from the passenger side of the engine but have been told its the front crank seal that needs replacing. This will be done along with a new cambelt and rocker cover gasket in next week or so, just waiting for the parts.
Most parts i try and service myself unless its something big like the clutch etc as my uncle is an aircraft mechanic and usually lends a hand.
Turbo is in good condition and pulls well with no smoke or excessive oil usage
Overall the car is in excellent condition. Its used as a daily driver and has never missed a beat. All it needs to finish it off is a TD05 from an Evo 1-3 which will see the power up to 300bhp, replacing the TD04 which spools up very quickly but runs out of puff at top end.
Ill be very sad to see it go but i need to sort out my finances! The car will rival most car as it is but with the TD05 it'll be running the same spec as an early evo but will only weigh 1178kg which is less than an early evo RS! 0-60 times will be around 4.5 secs id guess.
Offers in region of 3500 bearing in mind that this car is in superb condition.
