hi there

my evo 7 seem to be very tail happy. i have phoned ralliart and they said i should have the front tyres parallel and the rear at -3 toe in. camber is all equal at -1.25.

now although the car now bites better around corner it is even more tail happy!!!!!!!!!!!!! i gone side ways around a round about i do every day doing 20mph

before that the car had 2mm toe in at the front and 1mm toe in at the back i think.

i pressume since the suspension on the 7 is different from the 6 they will be different.
any suggestions?

Like I said on scoobynet :D

Front: toe in |EQU| understeer, toe out |EQU| oversteer

Rear: toe in |EQU| oversteer, toe out |EQU| understeer

Non-zero toe affects straight line stability (a bit).

<a href|EQU| http://www.whiteline.com.au/faqsusp01.htm target|EQU| _blank ><!--auto-->http://www.whiteline.com.au/faqsusp01.htm</a><!--auto--> has stuff about toe, camber, castor and tyre pressures, quite an interesting (if biased) read

Numpty,

I think you'll find that rear toe out causes an inclination towards oversteer and toe in understeer.

cheers numpty

clive when i moved from 1mmtoe in at the rear to 3 mmtoe in i got a lot more oversteer esp in the wet???

Have you got the ACD set to Tarmac? If so and you have the geometry set right, change it to Gravel, this will solve your problem.
