My Old Brembo Pads

Changed my pads today. What a difference. But what suprised me was how much the pedal feel has changed. I am beginning to think the old pads were glazed. How can I really tell?

In addition, I was suprised by the way the friction material was chamfered top and bottom. Why is this done because surely it loses about 20% of the pad area. The Pagids didn't have this. Any thoughts?

The pads are made like this to stop pads squeal, when braking at slow speeds.

Simon - if you want the ultimate pads, use PFC 97c compound these are the BEST , I`ve tried them all trust me !
