I have arranged a Rolling Road Day on Saturday 24th June at Surrey Rolling Road (http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk/) (Chobham, Surrey). It was intended for ///M Roadsters and Coupes but any cars are welcome!
Details are as follows:
* £40 each for 5 to 13 cars, £35 for over 13 cars. Cash or CC payable on the day (cash prefered or a lot of time spent on the CC machine!)
* Maximum of 25 cars
* Starts at 10:30am (should be finished before the footie!)
Places are on a first come, first served basis.
Please post below if you are interested together with your car and basic spec and I'll add you to the list. The more cars the cheaper it gets, any cars welcome, not just ///M's so come along for a run. We have about 9 ///M's turning up so far, another half a dozen cars would be ideal.
By the way SRR use Dyno Dynamics 4WD rollers which are considered one of the best in the business, proven to be very accurate. http://www.dyno.com.au/home.htm
Original posting is over on zroadster.net http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8522
Wouldnt mind seeing what mine can do, now its had its forged engine
If my cousin is up for it with his scooby, would that be allowed?

Chris,
Yep I don't see a problem with it, I'm checking with Charlie at SRR at the moment to see if he's happy with altering the rollers but I don't see it as a problem, if it is I'll let you know but as far as I'm concerned the more the merrier!
Be good see an E3 there, my favourite Evo after the 6 and scoobies welcome too :)
There is a possibilty of an E60 M5 turning up...which could be interesting :)

Chris,
SRR have moved from last year so check out their new location, have a look at their new website if you haven't already.
Charlie is good lad, I've been down there a couple of times with my Integrale to check the fueling out and he's always helpful.
Yep it will be good to see some different cars, the E60 M5 will turn up if the chaps ///M Roadster is still in the workshop...I did tell him to bring it anyway! Be interesting to see if it does make over BMW's claim of 500bhp.
Cheers,
Colin

Hi peeps,
I have confirmed with Charlie, the more the merrier but please confirm with me your attendance for definite by Friday :)
Please no fighting with the ///M boys though, after all we do let you drive in the outside lane of the motorway sometimes :D
I did post on an Integrale forum but no takers....bunch of polishers :p
Kev,
The last couple of times I went down to their old place they had a brand new huge fan in there. Certainly proved the power was spot on on my 'grale.
I agree their old place wasn't ideal hence the move to the new location, never been there yet so wait and see.
Cheers,
Colin

Everyone who's on the list should have a PM by now with details of the day.
For those who are running or turning up to spectate the following should be noted:
Surrey Rolling Road is based on an old Ministry of Defence site in Chobham Surrey. The site is still used by the MOD for some testing and hence security is a high priority (guard and barrier system).
SRR are only allowed to park 4 cars directly outside their unit on the secure estate. For this reason the attending cars will be split into hourly groups of 4 (running at 10:30AM, 11:30AM, 12:30PM etc). Only the cars from any respective hourly group will be allowed through the security barrier at any one time.
This should not pose a problem for people not in a running group as SRRs Unit is only 50 metres from the barrier and there is an extensive car park with CCTV security directly by the barrier. Those not in a running group can park there and walk through the barrier to the SRR unit with no problems.
...and Charlie asked me to emphasize that the whole site is covered by CCTV and is still used by the MOD. Please, please do not wander around or misbehave in the car park as you will be kicked off site and there is nothing SRR can do about it! (I don't expect this to be a problem but he asked me to tell people).
Details of how to get to SRR are available on their website: www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk
I look forward to seeing you all on the day :D
Regards,
Colin
