Terri,

I'll be bringing something a little different this Friday ;)

So......

I'd be interested in having a £175 session but I'm presuming I can drive it accordingly ?

i.e; Is anyone going to scream at me to slow down, brake sooner etc.... :D:D:D

If you could check with your man and he's happy to pax with me as I drive it a full pelt then put me down for a place :)

ROFL at the scream, brake! :D

I've added you to the list, but I think it is maybe best to speak to him on the day about being 'let loose!', I cant see there being a problem tho! :D

Hmmm, something different, have we been converted at last ;) and do you need a co-driver ;) :D but am also being taken out on track with Terry in 'ole red :D

See you there

So, did any of you have a go in the U-Drive Evo? What did you think?

Teri

Dr Bob

Yes, I managed to get out towards the end of the day in U-Drives EVO7 RS Sprint.

Brilliant, considering it was my first time ever actually driving on track, I loved every minute of it. Your instructor in the car is a professional racing driver, and they are 100% right in what they say, do exactly as they tell you and you will be amazed at how you can drive the car.

Now I just need to get booked in with them for Cadwell, seem to have caught the 'track day bug' :D

Overall opinion: EXCELLENT :)

I did and had a great time and don't regret the 4 X 15 minutes that I booked.

Excellent value for money considering the car, the track, and the fact that you get a professional driver next to you the all time.

Many thanks to Teri for starting the whole thing and to Paul's team at Udrive.

Looking forward to their next event in the southern half of the country which seems to be not until Goodwood in Decembre. I hope Ill be able to wait until then!

Greg, I am glad you enjoyed your time in the car, did the video come out OK and how was the sound link? Can you put a clip on the site for us to see?

Greg

Hi Paul,

The video quality is perfect, which you'd expect from a hight end digital camcorder.

The audio quality is very good as well, on board comments comming loud and clear in the for front with the road and engine noise still audible in the back ground. Getting the audio from the intercom is definetely a good idea.

However, for the next time we need to sort out the shooting angle, from the current camera location, you only see about a meter in front of the car but have a very good view of the ****pit. Relocating the camera mounting to the horizontal roll cage bar should make a hugh improvement on that front.

I will drop a video clip showing what I mean later on tomorrow as soon as I have a chance to plug the camcorder to the PC and compress the clip to VCD format to save bandwidth! I'll then let you know the location of the file.

Greg,
My Sony TRV17 must have the lens lower in the camera body than yours as I get good forward vision, however it could still be better so I will look at mounting it from the cross bar rather than the diagonal as you suggested.
Thanks.
