By adding your name you are not commiting to anything, just giving me an idea of numbers ;)
Spectating is FREE but you need to be a member or with a member as entry is permitted by showing your membership card only ;)

Only if you don't want her to come :)
Seems the MLR Membership card gets a car and PX'ers in, so as long as you are a current member, your okey dokey.

As long as they are with you either in your car or in a car behind you that will be fine.

To ensure the smooth running of this event I will possibly need some helpers for all or some of the day.
Once the event has started I will know more.
Helping will include organising runners in order, restanding cones, ect.
You will not be stuck out of the way, but will still be in amongst the action
If you wish to help please PM/EMAIL ME
Thanks

Chris,
I have a couple of mates planning to come up from london to spectate, however tying it in with my arrival from other end of the country might be tricky....is it going to be possible for me to go out of circuit to get them in if they arrive late? if you see what i mean.
Cheers
Ian
Being on the same day as ford fair, isn't it going to cause alot of hassle getting in etc
Is there a seperate entrance for the mlr or would we be coming in with the rest of the crowds, as I can see the queues being very long and alot of confusion happening if not

You should have no problem popping over to the gate to get them in. ;)

No seperate entrance i'm afraid :(
but as you enter Silverstone you need to turn right, away from the main grandstands and SLOWLY make your way around the perimeter of the track towards Stowe Circuit.
Just before you come up to Stowe you need to cross a bridge over the main circuit.
Hopefully myself and Darin will have had time to place ORANGE MLR pointers in strategic places ;)
Thanks
im hoping to be coming, will know more end of week.
I just noticed at the start of the original sprint thread that it says 'no children or animals'
Does that mean both ME and my lad wont get in?
Well... joking apart... will it be ok to bring my one year old, Bradley? he's no trouble... honest ;) :D
Cheers,

I have been on the phone to Silverstone today and they have warned me that the surrounding roads could potentially be very busy due to Ford Fair :blah:
They have forwarded me the following information,
Dear Chris,
I have forwarded some alternative travel routes for your members prior to the MLR event this weekend. As previously mentioned, Silverstone will also be hosting the Ford Fair weekend over the 5th and 6th August, an event which brings significant interest from spectators. As a result, traffic can cause problems on the A43, with queuing very likely. We have therefore devised a separate route for your group, accessing the circuit via West 13.
We strongly recommend finding an alternative route from the A43 if travelling from either the M1 or M40, and I therefore include directions below. AA route planner or Google map can also provide information, and I attach a map highlighting both routes from the M1/M40.
M1
Exit the M1 at junction 15, following the A508 onto Northampton Road, via Grafton Regis.
At the Old Stratford/Travelodge roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A422 signposted Buckingham. Continue to the roundabout, taking the second exit signposted Town Centre.
Following the A422 through the highstreet, take the second exit at the mini roundabout and continue until second right, signposted Stowe/Chackmore. Continue on this road, through Dadford, past the Silverstone Golf Club to the next right signposted West 13.
M40
Exit the M40 at junction 10, taking the A43 signposted Northampton. Follow signs for Buckingham, via the A422. Upon entering Buckingham from the Brackley road, turn left before the town centre, following the signs for Stowe/Chackmore.
Continue on this road, through Dadford, past the Silverstone Golf Club to the next right signposted West 13.
I have arranged for security cover, to ensure that from West 13, only MLR competitors (with memberships passes) will be permitted access. In light of our conversation yesterday, we will now not be permitting access on Saturday evening. We can only allow this if security is booked, but for just the odd one or two people/vehicles, this is not appropriate. To avoid any confusion or obstructing vehicles, I confirm no vehicles must access the circuit until Sunday morning, from 6am. This does, unfortunately, include the MLR unit. Car parks will be used to filter the FF traffic through to the circuit.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate in contacting me. In the meantime, I'll be very grateful if you could communicate the above information to all attending members to avoid traffic delays/problems.
Many thanks in advance,
jetskidia

***VERY IMPORTANT INFO ***
I have just been speaking to Silverstone again and they can't emphasise strongly enough that we AVOID the A43 like the plague due to the Ford Fair.
They have exclusively opened gate WEST 13 just for the MLR so may I please suggest that you print off the directions and map and only enter via WEST 13.
By following these directions everyone should be able to get into the Stowe Circuit with no dram and we will then be able to start at 08:45 prompt. :D
The WEST 13 gate will be open from 06:00
