I took a look under my E6 GSR when it had the tyres changed yesterday. I've had the car about 3 months and noticed it has adjustable shocks which I presume are not standard. They have a Ralliart sticker on and white, but thats all. Can anyone tell me what they are?

Also the rear shocks have a dial from 1 - 4 to adjust the stiffness, but I couldn't easily see any adjustment for the front ones. Can anyone tell me where I could adjust the front?

Thanks in advance.

i dont really know for sure what type/make your shocks are but try looking on the top of the front shocks for a small aduster in the mounting stem .
i had a set of avos on my last car and this is where the front adjustment was.
hope this is of some help???

Hi BlueGSR,

I have the same application an my E4, when everyone saw my car
they noticed that my car was lower than standard.I did not know until
I had my tyres changed. I have the same adjustable dampers 1-4 on
my rear suspension, I believe that 1 is soft through to 4 which
is hard. mines on 2, a compromise between both.
There are no adjustments on the front.
I have been told by Alan at Dragon that they are a Ralliart aftermarket
option on Evo's and are quite expensive, so good for you and me!![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
Sorry that this is not much, but gives you something and shows that
you're not alone.

Hi!

These are probably the ralliart adjustable shocks!

They are quiet expensive as they are made by ralliart and they are a good compromise if you didn't pay the price but you found them on your evo!

They are not competition units and are not single cylinder shocks,I think that they exist with normal springs or height adjustable.

They are for sure much better than standard but not as good as ohlins[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->!

It sounds like the same dampers fitted on my 6, but can't find adjustment for the front. Should there be any? Adjusting the rears does make a noticeable difference, but not massive. Softening them helps stop the car skipping sideways if you hit any bumps mid-corner (surely not on UK roads [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->) compared to the hardest setting, but then the car doesnt grip so well on higher speed, smoother corners.

If they are anything like the GAB units on my car, prising off the rubber cap on the top of the front suspension mount will reveal an easily-turned screw marked 1-4.

I've just checked my front shocks. If you remove the small rubber cap in the centre of the mount, there is a small screw beneath numbered 1-4. I've yet to find out how much difference this makes. Might be the same on your car SuperEvo4?
