Those who have suspensions are satisfied.Those who don't have suspensions don't know the difference!!![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
OK, here we go - let's have some recommendations for lowering springs that keep the 'firm' ride of the original, which I rather happen to like.

Steve
I have Leda fitted, standard spring rate but lowered 30 front 20 rear. They are powder coated as well.

I have the HKS dampers kit with pillow ball adjustable xxxx from Japan direct. The car is stiffer now and handle better on the track, you can actually feel the difference before and after, very much less roll.
The car also sit lower and look different from the standard EVO.

I've just had Dynamic suspensions fitted. They're same or maybe even better comfort than the standard ones, but a lot harder to get to the limit. They can be adjusted in bump and rebound. Cost £2000.
Yep! Right,they are not bad at all!
Just one question.Usally when you upgrade the suspensions,you low down the car a little or just keep it the same.
Now,your's looks like a pajero!!![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
Are you getting ready for the safari rally?

Yeah, right, Maxi, I'm higher and stiffer than you! [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
In fact, what it is is that Maxi, just like most people do (correctly) on most cars, lowered his white Evo 5 (with black door handles and mirrors!). this results in the anti-sway bar being bent and thus less efficient. On hard cornering, the car is too soft...
Lower your M3, lower your Ferrari, but DONT LOWER YOUR EVO, it's REALLY MADE TO BE HIGH.
Ok,I might have black door handles and mirrors,but you still have a BLACK standard airbox with black standard airfilter,black standard downpipe,cat,midpipe,muffler,black huge front numberplate support,black standard fuel pump...[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->
Anyway,look at the ralliart extreme or zero fighter.It's 28mm lower in front and 14mm lower in rear.
And I think that they know theyr job,as others like creative,bozz speed,mine's,hks kansai...
Theyr evo's are lower or the same as standard!
I won't talk about Tommi's because they are gr.a cars[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
Kevin
I bet you're sorry you asked [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->

Who was complaining about [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/embarassed1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e6--> understeer when he was trying to follow a white lowered evo v in a downhill twisty road?

I was, Maxi.
I had standard dampers and springs, you had Proflex Gr N spec 3 way adjustable dampers with separate gas containers, just revised, you stupid! Plus you knew the road inside out and I had almost never taken it. So shut your stupid face and get those fuel cuts sorted! (If your ma' gives you the money for it [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13--> !)
...And who was left for dead in a straight line in a fourth and fifth gear acceleration after he had the ralliart ecu fitted with more boost pressure,by a evo v that has fuel cuts?

And who's behind now, Maxi?
And who will bend his con rods if he keeps trying to follow as soon as we go a little faster?
How can you say that i'm behind now?
We have never accelerate together since you had your wastegate modyfied to get the ralliart ecu work with your standard exhaust at 2,3bars[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->!
Talk less,brake later![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->

You're right, Maxi, I don't know where you are as soon as I accelerate. Are you just a few miles behind or has your car broken down? [img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
Haven't seen you lately, is your car still in one piece??
Claudius,
Your evo vi is for sure more reliable than my evo v as it has the same power range of a tdi.
Nothing after 6000rpm![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/sad1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e2-->
Anyway it will have some geometry problems if you don't stop kicking at your wheels when your car is slower than mine[img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e13-->.
Before spending all that money in your stereo,amplifiers and subwoofer you should had bought some performance parts!!!
When you were behind me,I thougth that I couldn't hear you because your car was quiet as a mercedes.It was because you were to far away![img]http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/happy1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle ><!--e1-->
I remember someone telling me that when you lower the EVO too much, like more than an inch, it would be advisable to replace the driveshafts with slightly shorter ones because the lowered suspension pushes the driveshafts closer to the diff, creating a knocking sensation. Through time, this can wear out the driveshafts and even mess up the diff. Dunno if he was puling my leg. CUSCO makes such shorter driveshafts.
