View Full Version : Calling all Tuners I need you to mod my car.
Hello thank you for dropping in :)
I thought instead of a million phone calls I would ask you here.
I have an Evo9GT with a forged engine and Turbo Technics Stage 2 hybrid turbo. Magnex exhaust, and APS induction and Intercooler.
I want more power, she already feels like she has way over 350bhp that my old car did, but I would like over 500Bhp. I guess the magic 400bhp/ton is the aim, which is 560bhp based on the cars official weight of 1390kg. But we shall see what she gets!!
I have done a fair bit of research which is both tedious and contradictory, but I feel I need either an Autronics or Motec with suitable injectors for a start. This ‘should’ give me over 500bhp.
Is there anything else?
I need prices and info please. And some kind tuner to do it all for me.
So can you help me? I need to give a tuner lots of money to make this work. So if you would like my business please respond, either on here or PM, or e-mail :D
Thank you for your time :smthumbup

Sounds Awesome, Mrk :D :coolsm:
I would recommend a small vase attached to the dashboard, with a daffodil in on, but other than that can be of little help ;) :D

uprated fuel system
cams and ported head
ams gt35 kit
Twin plate clutch

i were being deadly serious
haha :moon:
Forgive me for the question, but it seems that the tuners (unless it is yourself?) have done a pretty fine job already - not worth sticking to the tuners you already have in the quest for more power?

Hi Mark
Why thank you for your kind comment :D apart from the Turbo which was inspired by my fine importer, the excellent NigelS, it was all me :D
I asked the Q to get as many options as possible, as different tuners do things differently, and if a tuner wanted my business they would have to chase me, and not the normal of us muggings chasing them all the time.
In the end I am going back to WRC-Tech because along with good customer care, they supplied the most help, and don’t want to plunge into wallet for unnecessary parts.
I only got a few responses from tuners, one wanting to sell me a bigger turbo and do a lot more unnecessary work, then they didn’t reply with prices, and one wanted me to call him. The specs are on the screen. How hard can it be!
If what I have doesn’t work, then at least I will know what I need, and I can add, not the other way around.
So fingers crossed :jump I’m kinda excited and damn nervous all at once, not just because of what the car might achieve but also because I’m off to the Alps on Friday for some Superbike chasing. Lets hope she don’t go POP

...off to the hills with you, safest place i'd say
Hey, Global any P21 stuff you can suggest yet?
Free-BUMP
Are you sticking with the Turbo Technics turbo?
Hey Matt
Yes for the time being, going to see what it can do first :)
You will get no where near 500 on that unit, but as you say, see what you can get. ;) We found the stage 2 unit's efficiency was around 1.8 bar, any more boost and it struggled to make power.
