The MLR will be having a space at this, the second
JAP Show. The show features cars from the earliest
classics through to the latest imports.

Advanced week-end Tickets available from me at £4.00 each
( £6.00 if you pay on the day(s) ) Camping £5.00 per tent for the

Just to let you know - this is the place to be if you would like the chance to be in the 'BIG PICTURE'. The plan is to get a picture of every model of Lancer ever done (in the UK at least!)

If you are on my list for the photo shoot - you are in the photo shoot (but have to pay to get in one way or the other!)

Let me get this straight, we have to pay to get into the show, no problem there.But where is the photo shoot taking place, inside or outside the show? If its taking place inside the show then we have to get our cars into the show (obviously).Does this mean that we would have to get there mega early?

You'll all be relieved to know the Dalmation Lives! The tickets arrived safely! This time....:D
As for the signature press the IMG button you get in reply tool bars then a http bar appears insert your pic address then press OK, took me ages, but its all different to the old site..

Yeah there is a club stand, its the first time Id of gone but all the club will be in one location, so you can share your polish about!
On the Sunday they'll be a photographer taking photos for a club calender and possibly one for a future Haynes book so might even end up being famous!! If your travelling up can meet up with various groups in different areas and convoy up..
Im travelling up from Oxford a way off but welcome to join me and a few others in the region.

Yeah great,anyone else going up from devon/cornwall/somerset that i can meet up with as its a lonely journey from devon,thinking of leaving early saturday morning,also have been trying to get hold of trevor mudd to ask if allright to show car on stand but iam getting no replies from emails iam sending,any ideas,dont want to drive all the way to have the car sat in carpark.Any ideas!!Gone in 60 seconds what time are you leaving from oxford will try and arrange where to meet.No problem in sharing my polish as long as you pay my fuel bill.

I'm trying to get an Oxford Services meet set up - I've posted on the Skyline Board as well to get a decent convoy going.
We havent settled on driving up Sat afternoon and going on the bladder somewhere up North in the evening - or setting off real early on Sun morning (eg 7am meet at Oxford M40 services)
Whats your gameplan so far ?

Steve,have managed to get hold of mr mudd tonight and it looks like we have got on the stand and iam tring to help out Teri as well with the photo shoot so might be going up saturday and staying over to the sunday,trevor is going to call me tommorow and i will then know what iam doing etc but thanks for the offer it really is appreciated.Thats what a club is all about dont you think.

DONT PANIC
Your car will be with ALL the other 30 ish EVOs in the show. This place is a large country house with huge gardens - the show is in the gardens.
Its only the general public who will have to park their cars outside.
No - its not undercover.

Im fairly flexible on the travelling time, so will fit in along with you and TT. Im not doing a 120mph cruise as wont have a license by the time Ive finished! Whenever I go near Skylines it goes that way..!
Oddly I was sent 2 extra tickets I was going to give them back on the day, but if yours donbt arrive you can use them
Planning to cruise up Saturday early afternoon late morning, I need to find a hotel, but will go straight to the show and book something from there..Your welcome to come to mine first then travel on up to the services to meet the others..

I think the show starts a 9 am. The photographer will be arriving at about 12.30 and will be with us for about 3 hours.
Im going over on the Saturday too to suss out the area to see where is best for the pics (back drop etc!) dont want pics with phone boxes or no7 buses whizzing by!

Why dont we leave lSat ate lunch 1pm ish, can cruise up, seems the Sundays the main day, so no point rushing, can find the place on the Sat, clean the cars up, find accom and so forth..?

That plan looks ok, however I'm dead para about leaving my car in strange places overnight (eg hotel car parks) - these things are highly nickable (as I'm sure you know :( )
I usually take another car if I'm going somewhere and the Evo cant go in someones garage.
Pub/hotel car parks are the worst places of the lot for car crime/theft.
Ideas ?

You think your paranoid, Ive spent the last six months sleeping with one eye open! Ive never left the EVO in a public car park or similar before. I was planning to find a hotel with underground parking or other secure non public type, going to phone about, dont care on the facilities just the car park! Im the same run an everyday car for the shops and stuff..
I did consider that if a lot of people (Other Evo owners) were camping at the site with their cars, I might leave it there, its in the gardens of a country estate so not a public place, and get a Taxi out to the town/hotel? Underground carpark is prefered, just dont know the area so well..
ollerton is very safe . main traffic police head quaters are there .. any way lots of nice cars up here more so than down south . people have more money to spend because housing is very cheap here .

Otherwise I'll just go out and get ****ed out of my brains in some hotel somewhere on Sat night and feel like ****e on Sunday :(
+ no cars about at the crack of dawn on Sun, therefore should be a fun drive up.
Anyone else driving up Sunday morning who want to meet up around Bucks/Herts area ? - what about some of the South Mimms posse ??

No bother Im going to have to bribe the misses with a plush hotel anyway to put up with nothing but cars on Sunday:D
All the tickets for this event have now been allocated, you can pay on the day £5.00 - this is for the week-end or just either Saturday or Sunday.
The list is to long to put here - OVER 50 EVO'S ARE EXPECTED ON THE SUNDAY , WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE PHOTO SHOOT TERI HAS ORGANISED - but if you want to come along on Saturday as well , no problem, as I, along with Teri and a few others will be there.
I hear from my son, who is organising the event for the SIDC, that they will have around 30 Scooby's turning up - LETS OUT NUMBER THEM FOR ONCE !
All we need now is some SUN !! and we should be in for a good week-end.

my car is due back saturday from rc where its having the stage 3 package. they have promised me it will be ready (fingers crossed god willing)
i plan to get to the show around 11 am (ish) and yes, i will do the photo thing, no probs . is 11 am too late?

Theres a mass cruise from the south thats joining other cars on route up north heading up the M1 as your in Luton why not tag on? Will be at the Pagnell services 8.30ish theres a thread on the main Lancer Chat section..
