View Full Version : Well Toyo Proxy's T1
Seen as how they are advertised on an Evo 6 are they any good?
Jeremy
I've just put a pair on the front of my 6 (they came at the "right price":D, and my fronts had suffered quite badly at CC). I'm quite pleased with them so far - they seem to work pretty well in both the wet and the dry. Haven't pushed them particularly hard yet though.
Results of this years EVO magazine 2002 tyre test are as follows:
8th Place : Avon ZZ3 £ 102 approx each
7th Place : Bridgestone Potenza S03 £ 130 approx each
6th Place : Dunlop SP Sport 9000 £ 150 approx each
5th Place : Michelin Pilot Sport £ 163 approx each
4th Place : Pirelli P7000 £ 154 approx each
3rd Place : Toyo Proxes T1-S £ 105 approx each
2nd Place : Continental Sport Contact £ 143 approx each
1st Place :Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 £ 134 approx each
The T1-S performed really well and seems stonking value for money.
I've still got the original SO1's on my car but will go with the Toyos when they need replacing.
I've had numerous sets of their F3 tyres on various cars, can't fault them.
Hope this helps you decide.
Oh and another thing, Mercer Jones and Co rule!:D
