Speedline Champion Magnesium Wheels

I'm after some very light competition wheels, for sprinting.

Please can someone advise me if 5 Speedline Champion 17x7.5, 5 spoke wheels for £1380.63 inc VAT is a good price.

Apparently these wheels are Magnesium and for competition use only, but weigh only 8.4Kg each.

Anyone know what alternatives are available and what I should be spending

err i dont think 8.4kg for a 17" rim is light at all, it should be in the region of somewhere 6.5kg
as for magnesium rims, they dont cope well with potholes :)

Thanks for the advice, as it is I spent my money on other things.

As for potholes, you don't find many on race circuits, but I get your point.
