Hi

Anyone tried the above-mentioned clutch ? Or for that matter, anyone tried anything from ATS ?

http://www.a-t-s.co.jp/e-atshtml/e-carbon1.htm

Just finished running in my Evo 7 RS, and the stock clutch feels like it is on its way out, so I'm sourcing for suitable replacements before it actually conks out.

Anyone has any other clutches to recommend ? This car is for road as well as a fair bit of track , gymkhana work.

I can get my hands on the following clutches
1. ATS Carbon Twin Plate (Unsprung Center)
2. Exedy Twin Plate (Sprung Center)
3. HKS GD Clutch Pro (Unsprung Center)
4. Ogura Twin Plate (Sprung Center)
5. OS Giken R2CD (Sprung Center)

Cheers
Dennis

I've got the Cusco (Exedy) twinplate clutch, and quite happy with it. Significantly heavier clutch pedal than OEM, so can be very tiring in stop and go traffic, plus engagement is a bit sharp, and the ubiquitous slight clattering/rattling noises when pedal is depressed. But all worth is when you're really pressing on an banging through the gears-- no slip at all!

I have mates with the HKS twinplate, and have heard mixed reviews. Somewhat softer pedal feel, but it didn't last very long at all with a friend's 380HP (@ the wheels) car, used for drag racing. The Cusco lasted quite a bit longer. Could have been a freak launch however, that killed it.

The Ogura gets the thumbs up for really good pedal feel (almost like stock I've been told), but doesn't last as long as either the Cusco or the HKS. Again, this is based on friends' experiences with drag Evos.

Cheers!
