Gents, (ref to earlier thread on some history here)

G-Force have invited the MLR down to their new Rolling Rd for a session, then the Scoobynet posse, then the GT4 Club, then the GTIR Skyline club, then their Porsche Customers. The best 4 cars for each session will be picked for an ultimate head to head at a later date.

Should make for some interesting results - who's got the most powerful car in the country ???

Saturday 8th June is the date we have been offered - 9.30am kick off - the MLR posse will be the first to try out their new Dyno Dynamics 4 wheel drive 1800bhp rolling road.

They are looking for £35|PLS|VAT per car (usually £55|PLS|VAT).

G-Force is in Aylesbury, Bucks (near to M40 Oxford services)

Compact Car Audio are across the way, so they might do a bit of an open day thing for ICE people if anyone is interested.

Loads of parking as they are on a business park just outside of town.

If anyone wants to stick around and go drinking in the evening I'll org the pub crawl - Travel Inn in Aylesbury £41.95 for the night.

How is this date for everyone ?????

Compact Car Audio are across the road - they have confirmed that they will offer at 15% reduction on anything purchased on the day - as long as you have an Evo that is.

They dump about £9k's worth of ICE in my Evo V a few years back - very good job they did too.

All the usual Alpine, Sony, Rockford Fosgate, JBL, Harmonn Kardon gear etc etc.

They stock/supply all sorts of HKS stuff |PLS| MoTeC engine mgt systems - Evo stuff is pretty new to them, however if enough bods of the MLR come out you'll have all the advice you could ever need just by chewing the fat with them.

Done one last week but should have some more bits done by then and amp; tyres should be scrubbed in!

Yep, i'm in! With 289 bhp (from power station in dec) i doubt i'll make the cut! Do you know if the audio people do Sigma alarms (cos i've broken both my fobs)? The alarm does still work, though, in case any potential thieving scum are reading this!!!

PS: If Aylesbury is near to the M40 Oxford sevices, then I must live in the Travelodge!!:)

Depends if we are talking power-to-weight or just power!

I will be glad to get 400bhp. With the mapping sorted (which won't be done by then) we should be at 450, maybe more (doubt it though).
GT2 weighs around 1250kg I reckon, which isn't much more than me - so I would need to find about another 100bhp from somewhere!!!

Knowing my luck I will probably get 300bhp and wonder where all the performance and money has disappeared to :D

They only measure power at the wheels, and last time at PE's rollers with low boost and running out of fuel it managed 285 at the wheels. So anything above that and I will be chuffed.

Just spoke with Martin Vincent (Editor of Jap Perf Mag), and he's not overly keen on featuring rolling road shoot outs. He reckons its not good reading as you dont get to know much about the cars featured, he would rather do 3/4 page features on anything a bit 'special'.

He did say that he'd probably come down to check out a few cars |PLS| look to cherry pick anything of special interest in order to do a feature separately. He's keen to see the Norris Design car especially as it appears to of become famous.

They are also looking to do some 'club features' in the future, therefore this could be an opportunity to cover the MLR (not necessarily just the RR day). Circa 25|PLS| Evo's in one place from the same club could make for an interesting article and some great pics.

He said he'd come back to me shortly with his views/thoughts - I will relay them on this thread.

Schedule for mimms/london meets:

8.10 at mimms, setting off as soon as everyone is there (andy :))
8.45 at A41 to pick up pondy/duffman/ant/TT(?)
9.30 at G-Force

i know this is quite conservative, but i always takes us longer than expected ;)

Gents,

Just been up there to check out the latest (T27 - you were up there today, what do you reckon ? - I just missed you). All looking good, we will have to get the first car on asap in the morning and work things like clockwork in order to get everyones car through in the day (quite a big turn out is expected).

The Cafe across the rd should keep everyone fed (great all day brekkies / bacon butties etc).

Compact Car Audio are going to run some 'specials' for the day |PLS| discounts on ICE/Security gear for anyone with an Evo.

Anymore people up for it ?

I've just been out to test the RR

258.6 bhp at the wheels - got some lovely charts too.

What is this at the flywheel ? - any good, or is my car shagged ?

We could REALLY do with some standard cars first thing on the day to benchmark the modded cars against.

Anyone bringing a standard car ?

If so, can we have you there first thing (eg 9am'ish) - we could with a standard IV, V or VI and a VII

Please verify ??

After testing G-Forces new RR tonight I have bought a HKS Boost Controller off them in order to get the boost to hold for longer - better figures expected on the 8th with my new toy fitted.

Might get a MoTeC off them before the day too.

I'm hooked on this ****e now - oh bugger !!
