Hello everybody!

I am looking for a backbox that gives a good sound for the EVO VI.

From what I've heard it seems that there are the following options:

Hayward and Scott
Supersprint
Magnex
Scorpion
Blitz
HKS

Can anyone tell me the prices for the different backboxes and how they look (maybe a picture?)?

I have seen: Supersprint, Magnex and HKS - didn't really like the looks of them....

Thanks for any information!

Check it out on the manufacturer's website, just choose the right car instead of the Scoob.

Hi Ric,
Usual options chosen by people on here are:

Blitz Nur Spec - very loud and throaty but a bit too loud for some. Hangs low from the car but flow path is very very straight. All stainless steel construction. 3" internal diameter with 5" slashed tailpipe

HKS Hiper Muffler - relatively quiet on idle but opens up when booting it. Flow path is similar in layout to standard but with less kinks and squashed bits :D Mild steel construction. 3" internal diameter with 5" straight tail pipe

HKS Super Drager - relatively quiet on idle and quieter than Hiper Muffler on booting it. Similar in flow path to the Hiper. Mild Steel

Other options that I haven't heard so can't really comment are

Magnex
Haywood & Scott
Fujitsaba

Hope this helps

Andy

HKS Hiper muffler with titanium tip. The centre section is mild steel to reduce cabin noise intrusion and the back box is stainless.

here is a pic of mine. it fits STOP ON:D and looks mega:D

Thanks a lot guys for the information.

I might go the Scorpion route - full system from turbo, as I used to have a Prodrive backbox on my Scooby (which is made by Scorpion) and I really liked this backbox. (and it seems to be the cheapest option around)

hmmm, only thing i can say is that cheap is not allways the best - i dont like throwing money away but a good exhaust is a must. the scorpions that i used to hear on cossies were v. loud and were stainless all the way through which makes them noisey in the cabin..
