would anyone fancy organising a sprint if we hired the small track at alford transport museum in the summer? who's the scottish secratary? woyuld it be for him to organise/find out about?

In alford, it's just west of aberdeen about 19-20 miles.

Im already orginizing this with SIDC for some Sprints this year!!

oh, sorry cam, didn't mean to tread on toes! i did look into it and they are quite strict and i think you need an ambulance present but the track is cheap to hire, is it alford you were looking into?
if numbers were low we could invite a few other brands too.

Martin, there was some discussion on the possibility of scottish sprints at the R/R day on sunday. There has also been another venue mentioned ( Kames in ayrshire ). I think its now a case of sorting out the details and hopefully getting some sprints on the go. Darin also seems keen on the idea of more Scottish events.
If craigs feeling well today im sure he'll give an update. He was puking yesterday after the weekend. Think he has a bit of heat exhaustion and a burnt baldy bit :crackup:

Why not just enter the next Kames sprint end of July?
you need a license, an approved helmet and approved overalls. Come on we need more cars in Scottish motorsport!
If you do decide to go ahead I could be interested, would it be this month?

I'm going to a few more sprints to watch before i enter anything. There is one at RAF lossiemouth in 2 weeks & one at alford next week i think.
I was at boyndie a few weekends ago, that was a pretty good event. Only thing is not sure wether to use the old GSR or pick up a cheap trackday car to start out with? Some of the lads in old 205's ect, looked to be having the most fun! :D
as for this event, i wouldn't hold yer breath.................. :rolleyes:
