View Full Version : Old Dog lives - 2006 WRC Sweden
I realise that there is a general apathy to motor sport on MLR :(
It's worth noting that the 2005 Mitsi WRC cars finished 3rd & 4th today, beaten only by Gronholm and Loeb
Where were the Scoobies :p
Grant
PS
If you're into "polishing" - no problem :p
On the other hand:
If you're into racing, on an alleged public hiway, please buy another make of car and stop bringing Evo's into disrepute

Yeah i cant uderstand the fact we all drive rally cars, but so few of us like using are cars for sport or have any real interest in motorsport

Yeah, great result. Gotta love the skills required for the snow rally :coolsm:
Length and Corbs, I think the thing Grants is getting at is stuff like this doesn't get discussed very much on here.
I do concur the "I beat blah blah blah" threads are quite seriously :gay: (IMEO ;) )
Who built the car tho?
Looked quite a bit more advanced than previous ones on that shell.
(Gears, displays etc in the car).
Still did very well, didn't break and best of all they kept it in one piece to the end.
Hope it continues.
Cars are last years WRC 05 model's on hire to Gali/Ralliart italy  £££££££££££££££££'s still run from Rugby tho :D

I just got back from Sweden today, easily the best rally I've been to and didn't cost much more than spectating rally GB. And I must say the results achieved by the evos were the icing on the cake.
If any of you are planning on seeing any round of the WRC next year make it Sweden.
Sorry to sadden this thread but Gali is contemplating swapping to a Subaru in the VERY near future! We should all get together on here and start a thread supporting Mitsubishi's continued WRC activities rather than sit here and let them fade away into WRC history. Next thing that will be happening is Mitsubishi will eliminate an Evolution from it's product line up...........................now that would be a disaster!
So come on Moderators, somebody start a thread so that we can all get together and support Mitsubishi in the WRC, maybe the Japanese will see that the MUST continue. If every Mitsubishi forum in every country had such a thread and the results were sent to MMC Japan then maybe they might start spending a few more yen and become World Champions once more!

I much prefer rally events over other motorsports. There's a lot of skill involved and a random element that adds to the excitement. The evo only came to my attention through its involvement in rally. I doubt I'd have thought about buying any mitsi if it wasn't for their involvement in the sport. It would be a shame if they weren't represented at all in the future.
I agree with Sytner, lets see what we can do to let Mitsi know they have to continue in the sport.
Anybody here going to any of the other wrc events this year?

fantastic rallying this weekend, but wheres robbie(commentator on itv wrc) gone? the lady commentating sound like a blue peter presenter.
its looking like gronholm and the ford are the ones to beat this season.
loeb's luck seems to have vacated the building.doesnt look like solberg got loebs luck though!!!
I did hear mitsi will compete in 2007?/8 with the X. fingers crossed.
